I had no idea this cd was an instrumental one. I was dissapointed as I love to hear Harry sing. This cd is ideal if you have a dinner party and you need some background music. But if you long to hear Harry sing, I suggest you buy another one of his cd's!

Harry Connick Jr. can play the piano for me anyday rain or shine, happy or sad. This CD is the bomb. The way he plays the piano could just send you over the edge. His smooth style and talent has definitely made his what he is today. I expecially liked "I mean you" with its fast beat. It showed you what he could do. I also liked "Zealousy" with its almost sultry beat. If anything should complete your collection it is definitely this one. You would be missing out if you let it go, in my opinion.Go Harry Connick Jr. Go

Personally, i'm not fond of Harry Connick the singer. He's a good singer but that's not my thing. I'm into jazz and if you want to hear a solid album of piano jazz, buy this. It's good. I'm reasonably sure this was his FIRST EVER album. I remember hanging around with someone who worked for Columbia records when this came out in vinyl and they said 'you might like this' and handed me a copy. I did. I still do. My thing is mainly Blue Note/Prestige classic era bop and I like this.

This supposedly was Connicks first ALL piano album. I was expecting stride/honky-tonk and got none of that. I've seen him play these styles and wanted an example of it for my collection. This isn't it!
