The wand is sturdy, full-sized and nicely designed, even if made of plastic. The kids wanted their wands so they could play "Harry Potter", so this was much more appropriate than the beautiful but more fragile and very expensive collectors versions available.

I suppose for the money, this is a good product, but it is a bit flimsy and bends really easily and once bent is liable to snap shortly after. That said my son was pleased with it and goes round the house swishing and flicking and cursing everyone and everything he encounters! Good job the Avada Kedavra curse isn't real!!

I think if I could go back and re-order I would pay the extra money for the more realistic wand. Certainly for a younger child this wand would be suitable (although be warned, over enthusiasm will break this wand easily), they probably wouldn't notice the difference, but for an older child invest in the more realistic wands which do obviously cost a bit more.

This wand looks passible for wood in the picture, in reality it is clearly cheap plastic. Before even opening the package the plastic is peeling off and it looks fake. If you are really interested in having a wand I would suggest looking at this page: [...]

The wand was a gift for my nephew who loves it!! It looks very much like the wand Harry uses in the movies, and it's one of his favorite toys.

The wand was OK when it came in the mail and it was good to have a small collection item. When the wand came in,it was thick and is good for kids under ten. This wand is more for playing and practicing than collecting, though.

Gift was actually given to an adult who loves Harry Potter. It is used less destructively then how a child may play with the wand. Holds up well in that case. Good $4.00 spent.

This is great for the Harry potter fans. My 4 and 6 year olds love it! The only problem we had is out of the box the paint was coming off. But after a day it has stopped chipping off. It still looks fine and my kids haven't even noticed.

The wand is larger and more fake than I expected, but still fun to use to cast spells on unsuspecting people!

The toy served the purpose and that is pretty much all it had to do. If the kids lose or brake it there's not much lost.
