This costume was a huge hit with my son. It is well made. Not made out of cheap material, it almost looks like the one harry potter wore himself! It is true to the color in the picture and comes with the gold stitching you'd expect. It has potter 7 on the back stitched perfectly. It is a very warm costume. Perfect for Halloween or anytime for play. Would give this product a full thumbs up

The product is very nice felt type material - actually will be like a nice jacket on a cool brisk halloween night. Quality is better than expected for a mail order costume. Nothing like the cheap "don't get near a fire" material you find on racks at stores. I would highly recommend spending the few extra bucks to get this over the entry level costume (although I personally have not seen that one, I don't think they could make it much nicer than this for about [...]). It is especially worth the extra $ if your child plays dress up or is the biggest Harry Potter fan in the world and will wear it night and day. P.S. I'm not reviewing this as a "toy" even though Amazon seems to have it linked/listed as a toy....it is a costume and that's why it got 1 star on my "educational value" rating. And as far a durability - for a halloween costume - it is very durable. For a "play in it every night and day" dress up - it is pretty durable but like anything mass produced it is not hand sewn to last forever if you know what I mean.

This costume is true to size and very cute. we had to relace the strings on the front because they looked weird, but it was no hassle at all. My son loves it.

This is a nice quality robe for a costume, not the cheap polyester you often get for the same price. He wore it in the rain and it didn't run at all! Definitely recommend it if your child likes Harry Potter. (FYI: did you know that Harry is #7? It's on the back) Also--true to size.

This costume arrived quickly and was very good quality. It was a thick fabric vs. that cheap costume fabric you usually find.

I got this for my son's 5th bday and he absolutely LOVES it. The sleeves are a tad long, but he doesn't care one bit. The fabric seems like decent quality and my son loves all the "authentic" features: the lace-up front, the Potter name and number on the back, the hood. He loves running around the house with this thing on while riding on the Firebolt broom i got him as well. The only issue we had was with the lace that ties up the front. Immediately after giving it to him both ends of the lace started fraying pretty badly. But when we got home, i cut off the frayed portions and re-melted the ends with a lighter. No problems since then.

This robe is great quality for the price, it is velvet, and the stripes are sparkly gold. My son is 8 and this fit him perfect. He was so excited when he tried this on. I got the pads on here(havent showed up yet) and a broom stick from target. He is going to look great on Halloween

I ordered a deluxe Quidditch robe elsewhere and was convinced I had been sent the economy version.It was made of thin cheap looking fake 'crushed velvet' polyester.I had a heated discussion with a sales assistant who assured me it was the deluxe version despite the fact it looked nothing like the photograph on the packet which looked like a heavy fleece fabric.It carried a Rubie's Costumes label.I returned it and shopped elsewhere hoping for better.This one is slightly better but still looks cheap and is made of thin velvet polyester.This too carries a Rubie's label and is supposed to be deluxe.Have all the felt ones been sold and poorer quality robes been substituted ? It is also rather short and has a badly printed smudged 7 on the back too.
I dearly want a felt one for my daughter for Halloween.
Any suggestions anyone ?

After only wearing this robe for a week the crest and letters are peeling off. He has probably worn it for an hour each day. We are now ordering a Gryffendor patch to sow onto the robe. I saw on some previous reviews that they had letters that were sown on, but our robe has letters that are glued on.

This Quidditch Robe is everything we hoped. It is made of nice warm fleece, the stitching is sturdy, and it looks very authentic. My son is wearing it for a costume, for fun while reading Harry Potter, and at bedtime to stay cozy.
