This review is from: Harry Potter and Dumbledore Year 2 Box Set (Toy)
With the passing of Richard Harris in 2002, the role of Hogwarts Headmaster was passed to actor Michael Gambon. When NECA toys announced that they would be making figures of the Harry Potter movie actors/actresses, it seemed natural that Gambon's likeness would become a figure, but many of us were wide-eyed when NECA revealed plans to release a grand sculpt of Richard Harris as we remembered him from "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets."
Richard Harris' likeness as Albus Dumbledore was my main reason for getting this figure set, and upon receipt of it, it quickly became one of my favorite sculpts from the guys at NECA Toys. From his half-moon spectacles to the finely-painted robes, it's hard for me to keep from just heaping praise on this figure. Of interest to me was the use of a translucent-type plastic used for Dumbledore's hair and beard, giving it a nice texture. If you're hoping to move Albus around for alot of action, you won't find this here. His sculpt has him in more of a wizened, standing-straight pose, as if he's watching the action from afar. Also included with the set is one of the only other "Chamber of Secrets" figures, Harry Potter. Like Dumbledore, the artists have done a great job of getting down Daniel Radcliffe's likeness, though it is sad that he's the only 'Year 2' student figure they ever made. Unlike Dumbledore, Harry is mainly set in an action pose, and there's not much that can be done beyond this. His extended right arm and hand can be used to either hold his wand, or clasp the sword of Godric Gryffindor, which is one of several accessories in this set. Speaking accessories, along with the sword of Godric Gryffindor, the set also includes the Hogwarts Sorting Hat (with his face-like crinkles), and Dumbledore's bird, Fawkes the Phoenix, standing atop his perch. Fawkes is relatively static, with the exception of a movable head atop his neck. Sadly, no sooner did I get this set and set it up at my desk at work, then some unseen coworker 'filched' it from atop my workplace cabinet. However, I soon after ordered another one. That is much love I have for this set of figures from the folks at NECA. Here's hoping the thief won't be back for a second filching.

This action figures of Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets is Impressively well realized. It is like a mini sculptures of two of the most important characters of the saga together with Fawkes, his pedestal and the sorting hat with an accuracy that you never will be able to find in another group of similar figures.I recommend it widely especially if you are a collector that love the Harry Potter story.

The HP action figures are very hard to find in the USA, even on Ebay. This was my least expensive option for Dumbledore. The kids do love it because it has the sorting hat.
