Harry Potter Gryffindor Economy Tie

This was a real tie (not a clip on or pre-tied fake) that seemed to be made of good sturdy, attractive material. I have no problems with the quality of the tie. The only issue I have is that it is not maroon, but purple. A royal darkish purple. Not even remotely reddish. We purchased it for the Midnight Harry Potter party at the local bookstore and it passed, but other ties were maroon and looked better. In summary: good quality tie but not correct Gryffindor colors.

Bought two of this for my sons' Griffindor costumes and am SO disappointed. They might be real ties, but they are PURPLE and yellow. Not at ALL the right colors, and terrible next to the Premium costume robes' dark red.

The item was of quality material and licensed, but it was the wrong COLOR! It was supposed to be burgundy/red with yellow stripes, but it was most definitely PURPLE. Very disappointing...

Product is classified as Gryffindor's tie... but it is not... the color is not burgundy but purple!!! this dissapointed my 6yr old since she was expecting something looking the same as Gryffindor's accessories, moreover because the picture at Amazon does not look like a different color.

In the picture the tie looks just like the ones from the movies, but it is NOT. The tie looks fine in low-light, but in the light it is actually bright, almost neon, purple. Look elsewhere if you want to be accurate.

This is a very good tie! Lots of people say the color is too purple. The color is a little purple but it still looks like a griffindor tie. It goes very well with your Harry Potter costume and you look great. It looks like the tie from the hp movies. Make sure you know it is a kids tie! If you get your harry potter costume, make sure you get a wand and practice your spells(Accio wand!). I can't wait for the Deathly Hallows! The reason I only give it 4 stars is because the tie is a little purple!

This was listed as a child's tie, but is much closer in size to an adult tie. My 7 year old son tried it on and it went several inches past his waist line. Because it was adult sized we had a hard time tying it without ending up with a huge knot. It is a good quality tie and authentic colors, but not child sized.

This is a child's tie and it is not the red and gold of Gryffendor but purple and gold. Still it did look nice.

The article arrived much earlier than supposed to and the tie is very well made. A bit longer than i expected for a 4 years old, though..

The tie itself was good and my son liked it much. I just wished it could be bundled with the Harry Potter costume kit which I also bought from Amazon. Harry Potter Costume Kit.
