Harry Potter Hogwarts School: A Magical 3-D Carousel Pop-Up

Although styled as a book, there are no pages, no words. The "carousel" is a dollhouse in book format. Rooms include the Gryffindor common room with puffy chairs; Harry & Ron's "dormitory" room; a classroom (looks like Snape's potion room in a dungeon"; the Sorcerer Stone's hideaway--with devil's snare, winged keys and a glimpse of the giant chessboard; the library with restricted section; and of course the main hall of Hogwarts.

My daughter and her cousin have already acted out numerous scenes (mostly of their own creation) using this as their stage. It is wonderful because it's detailed, inventive, and just like any stage set--leaves lots of room for imagination, acting and role-playing.

I recommend this for anyone with children interested in the Harry Potter stories, especially those with a flair for the dramatic. It's also nice just as a look-at decoration for the collector or fan.

This is as cool a pop-up as you'll find, with fun Hogwarts surprises around every turn! You really will be amazed at the detail work. The cut-out figures of all the main characters from "Sorcerer's Stone" make for many fun play-times. My daughter got this and one of the very cool HP Lego sets, and plays with this more! Perfect for the grade-school HP fan.

This book is just so neat! It can be used as a toy or decoration! The book opens to form a circle with a lot of the Hogwarts rooms featured in GREAT DETAIL. It's an interesting alternative to reading all about Harry Potter and Hogwarts School, you can actually see another visual representation of what J.K. Rowling invented. It would make a great/unique present for the Harry Potter fan in your life.

What a wonderful way to make a story come alive!! Not only is this book fun but it's magical, everytime you open it you are wisked away into the word of Harry Potter!!!

It magical for both adults and children alike. Every time you open the Magiacl 3-D Carousel up you find something you missed from the ime before. This is a Harry Potter winner.

This is a great book for any Harry Potter fan!! When you open the book it turns into a 3D Hogwarts. There are 4 pages with 8 areas inclucing: Harrys bedroom, Griffindor common room, the great hall, snapes classroom, the library, the trophy room etc with lots of pop up surprises and flaps to open. It also comes comes with punch out paper dolls of characters and the sorting hat for hours of creative play. I would recomend this book to anyone but especially for children who love Harry. I love this book and it brings out the child in me!

What a great little book. I bought it for my daughter who is 6. She has had so much fun with the charachters and the detail of the school. This was a great Christmas present!

My first grader and I are great fans of the Harry Potter books and movies (though she has only watched up to the Goblet of Fire), and I thought this would interest her. She loves it! The book is well-made and when it is opened, it literally pops-up to reveal different sections of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There are two ribbons, one at the top and one at the bottom that can be tied to secure the book so that it stays open and enables children (and adults) to play with the paper dolls that can be removed and made to stand. The dolls do not look like the movie characters, instead they are made to look like animation characters - there's Hermione, Ron, and Harry of course, Hagrid, Prof. Dumbledore, Prof. McGonagall, Snape, Quirrell.

There are four main pop-ups in the carousel book:
The great dining hall at Hogwarts with all the flags of the four houses, i.e. Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Griffyndor. There are several owls "flying" around, and one in particular is precariously dangling on a piece of string so extra care is needed.
The Gryffyndor common room, with stairs going up into Harry and Ron's dorm room. There are pop-up beds, chairs, even a fireplace.
The Potions classroom, and leading upwards is the library which depicts the restricted section.
A room displaying Hogwarts' history, and lots of Quidditch paraphernalia; upstairs is the secret room harboring the Sorcerer's Stone with a pop-up of the Devil's Snare.

It looks like this pop-up book is based on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone since it contains a paper doll of Prof. Quirrell, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. It is actually well-made and quite sturdy and the paper dolls are able to stand on their own. It makes for fun creative play, and I'm sure my daughter and I will have a wonderful time re-creating scenes from the stories.

This book was a gift for my 4 year old and he absolutely loves it. My older children and all their friends want one now. The book was in great shape and it shipped very quickly.

The stiff, easily broken paper won't lie flat or hold intended positions. The book is always misshapen when opened and problems can't be corrected. Ribbons are very weak and don't close the covers when tied.
