1.0 out of 5 stars Too Frustrating December 14, 2007
Format:DVD
Although the graphics and concept are good, the responsiveness to the arrow keys makes progressing through the game nearly impossible. This is the worse game I've ever played on a DVD. It's certainly not worth the money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money December 27, 2007
By Amy Roy
Format:DVD
This game is a waste of money. It could be a lot of fun, except the instructions for some of the activities are inadequate and require guesswork. Navigation using the remote's arrow keys is useless. We have three dvd players, with one of them brand new, and I couldn't get past the Quidditch end-of-year challenge, despite literally 20 tries. It didn't matter which arrow I pushed, at what time, anything. I also was unable to direct the owl flying through the trees during one of the extracurricular activities. And sometimes the game just did what it wanted, with me not pressing anything on the remote. Now I have to figure out how to return the darn thing to Target, what with it opened and all. Once the packaging is open, they'll only do an exchange for the same item and I definitely don't want it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Badly designed, overpriced December 21, 2007
Format:DVD
This game is terrible. It is essentially a bunch of clips from all the Harry Potter movies mixed with painfully easy games. It would probably be fun for young children but since the movie was rated PG-13 I was expecting something a bit harder. Actually, the only challenging part of the game was getting the remote to do what you want. I would expect this low quality if it was a special feature that came with a movie, but not from something you have to pay the cost of the DVD for.

4.0 out of 5 stars good game with the right remote January 6, 2008
Format:DVD
I have one DVD player and one DVD recorder, this game would not work right with either one , but when you put it in a game system(PS2)it works perfectly, fun game easy to finish and changes every time you go through it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money January 11, 2008
Format:DVD
This game has the potential to be great, but, as a number of other reviewers have stated, you cannot control it with the DVD remote. I tried it on a couple of different DVD players, but still had the same issues. It really doesn't seem as if they even tested this game using a DVD player before they released it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Juvenile January 5, 2008
Format:DVD
Bought this for my husband for Christmas -- he's a huge playstation 2 fan -- and he didn't like it at all. Said it was silly, useless, and just way too easy. Meant for young children, not adults, or even gaming teenagers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Impossible to get through December 21, 2007
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
So far, I've tried the game on the DVD player and in the computer. Our DVD player is 6 years old, so I thought maybe it wasn't "modern" enough. Then I switched to the computer, and the same problem with the arrows not working at all, as another reviewer mentioned. I'm going to try it on my newer DVD player, but if that doesn't work I'm going to return it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Harry Potter Game
Gave it as a gift so I don't know. There were no complaints from the recipient so I can only assume it was AT LEAST SATISFACTORY.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
It seems nearly impossible to get past the quidditch part. The game does not respond quickly enough to the remote.

1.0 out of 5 stars Did not play well
I love pc games and this one just didn't do it for me. I was not able to complete many levels and there seemed to be virtually no help available.

What do you need to play this game???
You can also play it on a DVD drive in your computer. I wouldn't recommend a mouseless laptop.
