5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff for all jazz lovers!, December 1, 2005

This review is from: Harry Potter Jazz: The Sorcerer's Stone (Audio CD)
This is a very interesting, but also very smoothly done jazz rendition of HP themes by John Williams. All three players, especially Mark Kramer, are great talents and their interpretations of HP themes is a gem to listen to and own.

If not only for its great musicianship, I rate this CD ***** also for an ingenious idea to transform Harry Potter music into jazz. (It would be also interesting to hear a big band have a go at this stuff.) You may think it can't be done - if you do, listen to this CD. You are very likely about to change your mind. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album of non-jazz material(David's Son), January 6, 2008

This is now my favorite album. Mark Kramer transforms Harry Potter into sort-of smooth jazz. It works, but the only problem being "Harry's Wonderous World", which clocks in at about 13 minutes(couldn't he have made the first section shorter?).
