Beware! These figures are nothing like the picture! I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and though what fun it would be to have the trio and a very handsome black to display! I receive the items and it was a big let down.

They look nothing like the pictures and there a little inconstancies such as part of Ron's hair wasn't painted, Sirius' beard was a different color on one side than the other, etc. etc. The facial expressions were poor and Harry's glasses were so thick I though he had coke bottles on. Not to mention Ron looks like he swallowed a whole lemon and Hermione's legs are out of proportion.

If you note the pictures, they look like the hair has texture, the glasses normal, and the faces very close to the actors. WRONG, WRONG ,WRONG!

Unless you collect these just to own them, I suggest you spend your money on something else. I have no seen the larger versions, perhaps they are better done, but the 7" are not.

This set of four figures from NECA depict Harry, Hermione, Ron and Sirius from the upcoming movie, the Order of the Phoenix. When you get all four figures, you get the pieces to create a fifth figure, the target that Dumbledore's Army uses for training in the film. I just got this set the other day. Unlike action figures from the older Harry Potter movies, these ones look accurate and detailed. If you are a Harry Potter fan, these action figures are for you.

Its a bittersweet review I must write. Although the figurines are well sculpted, proportionately, they have outstanding flaws about them. I found Sirius Blacks legs to be misshapen to the point that he wouldnt stand properly (to speak of that, the toy stands are inadequate) Hermione looks somewhat odd in proportion and has uninteresting arm joints which limits the posing possibilities... Although each figurine looks like the character, they are very delicate. Each comes with a wand, which is only a teeny strip of plastic albeit molded like a wand with detail... Ive broken two. One snapped before I could take it out of the plastic, and the other broke when Sirius fell over, due to his oddly formed legs. The DeathEater dummy that comes with the set is remarkably fragile, the right arm broke off while I was removing the figure from the plastic, and its not repairable. I hate to complain, because the detail of the figures is great, and if you are a fan of the movies or the characters youll love them! However, be careful when handling these figures. Display only. (And I recommend placing them on a stable surface to avoid breakages).

The advertising pictures look just like the characters. The product that you get doesn't. Don't be fooled by the picture. You don't get what you see.

Ron Weasley's arm broke the first day we opened it. He appeared to have two right arms inserted. We didn't have any of the packaging or order info, so we had to just order a new one. The new one is perfect, except all their wands break easily. i believe a toothpick will work fine.
Harry has a smudged nose. I'm not sure if it came that way and I didn't notice it at first, or if it is simply fragile. My grandson doesn't seem to notice.
All the characters are amazingly real and practically duplicates of the actors.
My seven-year old grandson visits every weekend. Ever since Christmas these are the only toys he will play with, except for the Harry Potter Clue game which is phenomenal.

These are very cool plastic figurines, the detail and likeness to the actors in the movies are remarkable. I wouldn't call them "Action figures", though. They're way to fragile to chuck around in true "Action figure" fashion. The paint will scrape off and the skinny parts will snap. Besides, they're too expensive to do anything but sit on a shelf, occasionaly handle and admire. Practically out of the package the arm snapped off the deatheater figure. I didn't care for the figure anyway so I wasn't that tweaked.

I am leaving the same feedback for 4 of these products.

All in all my kids absolutely love these 7 inch Harry Potter figures. They play with them every day and it really has them using their imagination in their play. They were very excited opening this on Christmas too so the wow factor is very high. They are very realistic looking - not sure why someone in another review said they were not.

The absolute only negative I can give here are the wands. Of the 12 figures we have, 11 have wands (the 9 inch Hagrid does not). Of the 11 wands, 9 have broken so far and the kids have only had them 1 week. Most of the 9 broken wands broke in the first 2 days. All broke when the figure was standing on the floor and fell over. We're talking about a toy that weighs a little less than 1 pound fall 7 inches. Not exactly rough housing here. The wands are very thin plastic and you can tell they are not going to last long. A big disappointment as the wands really add to the magic. They should make these with a steel pin inside. However - we bought these having read from someone else that the wands broke so I am not surprised.

Anyway - over all I am happy with the figures. My kids love them and the loss of the wands has not bothered them *too* much. For now we are using toothpicks cut in half to mimic the wands.

I love the new figures, very realistic and much darker than the old ones more sinister

This set from the opening tomorrow movie is fantastic. Very realistic and very educational as you can use your imagination and play with the figures with your children. There is no greater education method than opening a child's mind through active imagination. "For in dreams, we enter a world that is entirely our own. Let him swim in the deepest ocean or glide over the highest cloud."
