4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not much new!!!
What can I say? I'm a Potter fanatic, and I jumped to buy the Movie Poster book as soon as it came out. The posters are beautifully done and cover a wide range of scenes. There are headshots of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, a scene from Gringotts, and even Ron and Harry at Christmas.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Fan Souvenier...
This book while featuring some brand new images that I hadn't seen before in detail, still stuck with the same images that can be seen briefly in the Harry Potter trailers. There are really no new images, like those that will be seen in the Vanity Fair issue coming up. However, it's a nice collector's editon for die hard fans like my daughter. It will be nice for her...

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not much new!!!, August 2, 2001

This review is from: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Movie Poster Book (Paperback)

If you have seen the first and second trailors for the film, then you won't being seeing many new things. That's why I only gave it 4 stars. Personally, I think that it is worth getting the Poster Book just to see the first picture released of Harry in his Quidditch uniform. I also enjoyed a shot of Dumbledore visiting Harry in the Hospital Wing.

The casting for the film was excellent, and the pictures in the book only support that fact. Each character matches the wonderful descriptions that JK Rowling provides in all four books.

As I said before, your not seeing much new, but the book is money well spent. This way you don't have to wait 2 hours to download the trailor or pay for a movie ticket just to see the trailor! It will be there in your library to view again and again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great shots!, July 31, 2001
This review is from: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Movie Poster Book (Paperback)
The pictures in this 15 page book are great photos! They can tear out off the book to be hung up. They are glossy, and about 8.5 by 11 inches. The shots are off: Potrait of Harry, portrait of Ron, portrait of Hermione, Harry at Gringotts, Harry with Hagrid and Hedwig, Harry in the forbidon forest, Harry Ron and Hermione, Harry in Quidditch robes, Hogwarts Express, Ron and Harry with candy, Harry and Dumbledoor, and more! Great sneak peak at the movie!!![....]

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Posters!, February 20, 2002
This review is from: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Movie Poster Book (Paperback)
The "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" Movie Poster Book is an excellent addition to any Harry Potter fan's collection. The posters are high quality; slighltly glossy, nicely sized, and has a clean and crisp finish to the photos. Many of the posters are collages, which I really liked because they are done in such a nice way. My entire household (that would be three younger sisters and two parents) all love Harry Potter, so of course we all ran out to get our own copies! I suggest saving this booklet (or buying two, the price is great), because it will defintely become more valuable as the years go on since Harry Potter is destined to be popular years from now!

It will be nice for her to have and keep so when she grows up she can show her children how fanatical she was towards this book. It's just a nice fan souvenier in the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars In the flesh!, August 13, 2001
This review is from: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Movie Poster Book (Paperback)
Seeing the movie trailers makes you hungry for more photos and this poster book is the answer. As other reviewers have noted, the pictures are beautiful. They're all so good we can't decide which ones to put on the wall. The bonus for us was getting the photo of Dumbledore, who is hard to find even in animation. The movie is so well cast that seeing the photos is like revisiting the book in your mind's eye. We also thought the price was very reasonable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Preview of a Soon to be Blockbuster, August 10, 2001
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Movie Poster Book (Paperback)
This is a great way to see what the characters look like and to see what the movie will be like. Plus you can rip the pictures out and hang them on your wall which is great! It gives a glance at what the kids will be like in their roles. The kids look amazing, espacilly Daniel, who plays Harry. Emma looks wonderful as the know-it-all Hermione Granger. And Rupert Grint is a spitting image of a young Ron Weasley. You even get to see a picture of Harry in his Qudditch robes and you see either Fred or George behind him. All the pics are spectacular and look great on any wall. I would tell any Harry Potter fan to buy this, it is a must have!

This is a MUST TO OWN for any "Potter Fan".....I cannot accurately describe how detailed and well done these posters are. I ordered several. I am so pleased with them and to have them as part of my collection. These will be in big demand (for you collectors) once the movie is released. Order now....you will not be disappointed...

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice big, thick ,sturdy pages, December 1, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Movie Poster Book (Paperback)
in this poster book. This book has 15 pages of glossy posters with scenes from the Sorcerer's Stone movie. The posters are one sided, so you won't be hiding anything if you decide to take them out of the book and hang them on the wall. It's not overpriced, so if kids want to have a room full of Harry Potter, they can, without breaking the bank and mum and dad having heart failure because an expensive book has been pulled apart.
