My daughter is a HP fan and really wanted this wand. It is hard to tell much from the photo so I ordered it for her. I should have read the reviews first. It is not very realistic at all and would only appeal to very young children. We didn't have any problems with the batteries as stated in other reviews and it has worked fine, she just lost interest in it almost immediately. A very boring product to say the least. The only reason to buy it would be to use with a child's HP costume. Also, you can't shut it off. If you touch it, it lights up and makes noise. The only way to stop it is to take the batteries out.

this was what my nephew really wanted for Christmas. it was inexpensive enough, that should have been a warning. it took fits to get the batteries in right so that it would turn on. then once it started working after a few "spells" it started shorting out. maybe lasted 5 minutes. we were always able to resurrect it but i doubt it will last longer than a few weeks. i would have preferred to have spent more and been assured he could enjoy it for a long while.

This product plays three sounds. The sounds can be triggered with either movement or touch. It was a very fun prop for halloween. The only downside to this product is its size. It is wider at the base than I imagined and I had a very hard time fitting it into my costume. For the price though, this product is the best option. For any Harry Potter or wizarding fans please note that this is a plastic wand and not meant to be taken seriously!

Harry Potter wand
I bought 2 wands for my boys. One didn't work well right out of the box. The wiring in them is fragile. They ended up both breaking by January and I gave them at Christmas.

piece of junk!
Light component broke within one hour of receiving it- and the motion activation was poor- my son had to hit things to activate it. Piece of junk!

It's easy to break.
I got this for my kid for Christmas it was broke a day or two after. It was just kind of cheap. I probably should have paid a few bucks more for a better one.
