This is maybe the worst 9 bucks i have ever spent!!!! the wand is totally unrealistic. it is made of really cheap plastic that breaks sooooo easily!!! the only good thing about this wand is the handle... it doesnt break and it actually looks realistic... but all in all do not buy this product... spend the extra money and get the one from the noble collection

I collect these little sticker book kits. I like having the cool Harry Potter stuff without paying the expensive price for the same thing. Yes this wand is in three parts and you have to screw them together but it's still really cool. I've had my wand for two or three years and I've had no problems with it, I have taken it to Harry Potter parties the movie premiers, Halloween parties etc... and it never broke on me.

We bought these for our 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 year old sons. They were very excited when we put them together (as they come in three pieces you must screw together). They were both broken in a matter of minutes. We taped them together in the middle, then the handles broke off too. Not worth it at all!

My son has a Harry wand that lights up and makes sound but it is pretty bulky. This wand comes in a small box and has to be assembled (screwed together), but he loves it because it really looks like Harry's wand! It comes with stickers and a little book as well.

I like the wand kit itself, but this vendor had already opened the product and rewrapped it in plastic wrap. The wand had been put together and was broken. It was not worth the effort of sending it back, but I would not recommend shopping from this vendor.

i have harry potter wand by noble collection but i cant play with it because im afraid to break it so i bought this mini kit wand and im so pleased because it is made out of plastic that u have to screw together and an enclosed bokk of 8 stickers i love it and it never broke to me i dont know y allot of people complaining about it

I wish I had looked here before I bought this--I was wandering around a bookstore, and saw it and immediately had to have it--let this be a lesson about impulse buying!

Nothing wrong with the idea of a wand that comes in four parts and screws together, this might come in handy. I got it home, tried to put it together, and had a hard time with the base, because the screw threading, which is part of the plastic piece and not actual metal screw (which might have made it a more quality product) was really not fitting well.

I finally got the threads tracking properly, and it was still hard to screw together because it was so tight. When I got to the end where the wand met the base, it got very hard to screw together. As soon as I got the base and the wand actually touching, it broke.

I exchanged it for another, and managed to get this one together ok, but on this one, the last piece on the end wasn't molded straight or whatever, so now the end of my wand looks like a slightly crooked finger.

I may try using the base to create my own wand. I think that this would have benefited from using actual metal screws and screw casings, like I've seen in other cylindrical tools that have to be screwed together. I know this is a toy not a tool, but Running Press could have easily sprung for the metal parts and made this worth the nine bucks I paid for it.

The first package sent to me was defective. Nubs and srew ends were either broken off or stuck in the attachment hole and broken off, rendering it useless. The seller Brooks Books, made it right by sending some parts to other kits, which arrived today 11/29 and I was able to piecee together one wand from them.

However, I don't think I would recommend the product itself because, although the assembly idea is good the cheap plastic parts apparantly break easily.

At best, using it as a decoration is the only use, because it is so delicate.

How hard would it be to marked wooden wands? Dowels and spindles and half a dozen things LIKE wands are available at any hardware store at low prices. One could fashion a pretty nice wand for less than what this junk costs. Or buy a woooden porridge stirrer at a fancy kitchen store and tell your kid it's a wand.

Part of the genius of Rowling's world is how easy its artifacts (wands, cloaks, scarves, brooms) can be to produce in the real world -- actual magic aside, of course (wizards have to be born that way). Unnecessarily cheap and fake-looking merchandise like this wand make me long for the days when Harry Potter only existed in books.

My daughter saved up $9 to buy this - after about 1 hour it was already broken. She was not using it any more than to wave it around gently. :(
