I, unfortunately, grew up without owning the movies. So, naturally, I wanted to buy all of them at once, just in time for the November 19th premiere of HP7. I didn't need anything fancy and I'm not, personally, big on behind the scenes or bonus material. This "gift" boxset was perfect. The movies come in thin packages that only really have the film. I can just pop it into the DVD player and enjoy! There are no advertisements beforehand and it goes right to the menu! If you just want the movies, nothing special or extra, this is PERFECT.

The title of this review says it all. I had viewed only 2 of the 6 DVDs in this set when I discovered that they are not complete movies. For whatever reason they have been edited and some of the original material has been removed. If I had known this prior to my purchase I would NOT have purchased it. Now it appears that I will have to purchase each movie individually if I want to watch the complete movie. Even then, I suppose, I will not know what I'm receiving until I view each one. Caveat Emptor.

This was a great package set with all the movies together at a great price instead of buying them seperately and having to pay more would recommend this item to anyone whose on a tight budget and loves Harry Potter. Great for a gift to a son or daughter or any other relatives/friends.

The box is basic which is fine, there are parts missing in the movies, some parts actually seem pertinant if you are into how deep the HP shows go. I wish I would have spent extra to get the full shows.

While I love the full screen version, I noticed that scenes have been omitted, like a previous reviewer mentioned. I had not seen Half Blood Prince, and now I wonder what has been left out. I will probably buy individual movies now to see what this box set has left out, after I go to my local library and check out other versions. Kind of disappointed, but since I love the series, I'll bear my disappointment like Dumbledore said, "we must rise above our anguish, Harry, and battle on."

I purchased the 6-pack because these films, like the books, are just incredible for their quality of story telling. The DVD's are all in good working order and the films themselves... magical!

I've been meaning to buy the Harry Potter movie set for quite some time now, I just never got around to it. Some of the other reviews said there were missing scenes or something in them? If there were it's obviously not very noticeable because I've seen them all before and didn't catch anything out of the ordinary. Maybe the die-hard Potter fans can only notice them, I don't know.

But in short, if you enjoyed the movies, this is a great addition to your movie rack. They all come in there own separate slim movie case which I was a bit unsure about from the descriptions, because personally I don't like when movie sets come in like a fold out book with DVD's in it so the separation just improves the buy for me.

I give this gift set 4 stars because some parts of the movies are missing. I have been a Harry Potter fan since the first book came out & I have watched all the movies in theaters or on TV many times. I can tell some parts are just skipped completely, it's not even the full movies. Overall it is a good set just missing pieces.

Where does it describe that these movies have been altered and are not the full versions? I would have NOT bought this version had I known!! Is this what you mean by "full screen version"?? Completely disappointed in my purchase! What a rip off!

I received the Harry Potter dvd years 1-6. They were sent as represented, I did not have to watch and wait for them and they arrived in good condition. I am very pleased. Thank you for such good service...Fritzie Edwards
