I know this show was probably created for the typical teenybopper CW audience and no, I am not their audience but I decided to check it out anyway. I was surprised by how light, funny and charming this show is! It doesn't make you think or teach you anything but pair this show with a glass of wine and a carton of Chinese food and it is the perfect antidote to a crappy week for the professional woman.

This show will make you smile and have you rooting for Zoey as she tries to navigate life in a small southern town and deal with the attentions of the perfect man (George - he is my pick for Zoey) and the hot but destined to go nowhere bad boy (Wade). If you like chick lit or romantic comedies then you will love Hart of Dixie!

I'm hooked. For me, this is almost as good as Gilmore Girls, and as good as Northern Exposure was (remember that one?)

This is a soap opera that's done light-handed. The show is interesting and the casting is well done and the characters are mostly a mixture of likable, charming, and quirky.

The main character (Zoe Hart) is a driven NY surgeon with a bit of tunnel vision and while she excels as a surgeon her people skills are sadly lacking. Because of this lack of people skills, her career game plan gets blown off track and she finds herself accepting an offer in an old-fashioned small Alabama town. She's the outsider and it's all uphill as she starts off with mistake after mistake - and being a small town, she's constantly under the grapevine magnifying glass. Fortunately she has a few people on her side, and little by little - episode by episode she is growing personally and professionally and also becoming part of this small, community complete with gators on the loose.

It's interesting in all kinds of quirky ways, and the love interests are all messed up and you have to wonder if, when and how things are going to work out -- and while there are some hot chemistry moments, they have (so far) managed to keep us from having to watch semi-porn.

For some reason this is labeled as comedy and I don't see it as such. It's more of a charming light drama, or soap. I guess you just have to see it for yourself - chances are it'll have you hooked quickly too. It's well done.

This show has got me hooked right now. I never gave it a chance until I saw it on TV one day at work. It was a very slow day at work and I was flipping through the channels and saw a very cute girl(Zoe), I remembered her from Jumper which she was great in. And I thought I would give the show a shot. I'm glad I did. You will love this show, give it a try its addictive as hell!

The CW's new series, Hart of Dixie, has a lineup of stars, producers, and writers that will make any fan of the teen drama genre swoon. For those of us who have worn out their DVD seasons of The O.C. to the point of being unplayable, Rachel Bilson's return to television is more glorious than the second coming. Put her in a production with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage's (The O.C., Gossip Girl) names attached, and it dunks the show into a deep fryer of indulgent pleasure. It seems the production team had this in mind when creating the color palette for the show; everything (including Bilson) is country fried a warm golden brown.

Big names aside, Hart of Dixie is really creator Leila Gerstein's baby. Gerstein is known for her previous work on The O.C., too, having written the hilarious season-four episode "The Metamorphosis," to much acclaim. Many fans will be delighted to hear that Gerstein has put the word "Ew!" back in the mouth of Bilson's character (a phrase made famous by her O.C. alter ego Summer Roberts). In a genius bit of casting, Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) gets back on his feet as the Hottie of Dixie, and he proves that he is leading man material. Cress Williams brings even more Friday Night Lights alumni flavor to the ensemble.

The concept of the show is recycled and straightforward, but who wants fresh when familiar tastes just as sweet? Zoe Hart has her life under control; she is on her way to becoming a heart-surgeon (awww, cute pun) until her fellow med-student boyfriend dumps her (GASP!). Newly single, she rips a page out of Elle Woods's memoir and embarks on a journey of self-discovery. She ventures into the heart of Dixie (oh, now I get it) to take over a dead guy's practice.

During this past summer, the family and I made a trip out to Warner Brother's Studios. We enjoyed a VIP tour of several studio sets including one which we were not familiar with - Hart of Dixie. The tour guide described the set as Lemon's living room and Mayor Lavon Hayes' kitchen and rec room. When the tour guide asked if anyone was familiar with this new series, there was dead silence from the small group of tourists. I actually did have a valid excuse for not being familiar with the series since I've lived overseas for several years and didn't have the opportunity to watch it. After the trip I decided to give the series a try and instantly liked it. I purchased Season I in HD through Amazon's Instant Videos and enjoyed every episode. I enjoy the small town setting of Bluebell, Alabama and especially like actress Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart and how she interacts with all the other characters. I've been a fan of actress Rachel Bilson since she appeared on the hit series Chuck. Now that I'm a fan of the show, I feel fortunate to have had the unique opportunity to actually visit the set and to say I've been there, when I watch every episode. Would definitely recommend Hart of Dixie.
