My Rottweiler-Beagle mix (I know, odd combo) literally destroys every ball that comes into our yard, as well as any chew toy I bring home to him. Even those labeled as indestructable are mincemeat when he gets a hold of them.

And then I happened upon the aqua bone. Labled as hard to destruct, I thought, yeah, right... well it is nearly a year later and the only signs of wear are some of the little nubs missing from the bone. It keeps him busy and most importantly, when he wants to play fetch, it's large enought that it doesn't get all slobbery. I have yet to try this with water - but it would surely be an outdoor toy in that case. One thing I have noticed is that Kirby seems to have less tartar and fresher breath which I attribute to this toy. Now if I could just get old pewy breathed Max to like chewing toys...

I cannot say enough about these bones - they are a life saver to anyone who has a busy body or chewer. But whoever measured this and came up with a length of nine inches must have been an insecure man; it's more like five.

I have a very heavy chewer and he will destroy most toys within 15 minutes. This one is still lasting and he chews it daily. Very good for a hearty chewer.

I have two labs and these bones are by far the best chew toys. They last longer than any other chew toy I have tried and my dogs actually prefer them more than any other toy they have.

I ordered this chew toy because it had been labeled as indestructible. Many other people who bought this toy said it was amazing, but I have a different opinion. I have a rottweiler, german shepherd, border collie mix who has destroyed many toys that brag being indestructible. Since one reviewer said they also had a rottweiler mix that had successfully not destroyed this toy I figured I'd give it a shot. Within 15 minutes of giving him this toy he had it torn to pieces. I'm very disappointed to see another toy go to the garbage can so quickly. It's a waste of money. Until they can invent a real indestructible pet toy, companies need to not label them so. I almost guarantee you that my dog will tear it up.

I was quite impressed with this item for about 2 weeks, which is pretty good for our dog. The downfall of this product is the hole that allows the water, my dog chewed this off and was then able to chew all around the hole so the toy had to be taken away. I have a beagle/bulldog mix who has chewed threw several kongs, may be okay for others.

I read a lot of the review of how people had ruff & tuff dog that could NOT destroy this toy. We have a Chocolate lab/German Short Hair mix and he has managed to dis troy this toy in 2 weeks. Oh well I guess it was made for a ruff & tuff dogs.

My dog wants nothing to do with this bone, and she loves ice cubes! I even tried putting chicken stock in it and she could care less. The plug was almost impossible to unscrew. I had to use pliers and pretty much ruined it. I don't recommend.

Love this bone for my dog. I have a big lab mix who is a very hard chewer. I got him this toy when he was a puppy because almost everything I gave him he destroyed almost instantly. Sampson just turned 4 and is still loving on this bone. I've never tried putting water in it, and the only real wear on it is that about have of the spikes have come off (expected after 4 years of daily chewing). Really considering replacing the older one that he has with a newer bone, but I'm sure he will take to a new one as fast as he has the one he is still working on!

All i can say is the puppy didn't like it much, i filled it with water and froze it and he just left it. It was hot out too. The worst part about it is the white paint on it was coming off after just the first 5 minutes! Geez guys, get some better paint on the product, i would hate to see what would happen if my puppy actually liked the toy.

I would have to believe the reviews that have said the quality has decreased.

i have a golden and two labs that all went crazy for this toy. unfortunately three large dogs wasnt exactly what this toy was intended for and it was promptly torn in half. it obviously dosent hold water anymore but the dogs now enjoy each half individually with peanut butter stuffed inside. we have a similar toy from hartz that apparently isnt sold on amazon. its pretty much the same toy but its a ball about 2 1/2 in. around. if you have multiple dogs i would suggest getting those balls rather than this bone to prevent the whole tug of war thing that they love so much. the last couple summers big lots stores have carried the balls for $.80 each.
