4.0 out of 5 stars Great Price
This was a gift for someone that is very sports oriented, so it was perfect for a game room. Although he had to replace the sensor through the company the product is great and works very well. The only thing that concerned me was the way it was shipped. Parts were falling out and the package was damaged. I reported this to amazon and they took care of it right away.

1.0 out of 5 stars SUCKS
This hoop set is not worth it's price! The backboard's screw measurements were way off from the bar's screw measurements. The arrows didn't work on both the original set and the replacement set. And the score board wires are way sensitive to the vibrations from the shooting that it turns off and on.

1.0 out of 5 stars dont drink and dunk, October 3, 2007
This review is from: Harvard Double Shootout Arcade Basketball Game (Sports)
Well against my better judgement, knowing that this poor product would end up living a short life, I bought this for a "college aged" apt. Little did I realize how short a life that would be. (Oh ya, sidenote: the UPS guy was so excited at the level of awesomeness, that he wanted to help me put it together). For the first three days it was the greatest investment of my life, with my roomate setting a high score of 146 pts in 55 seconds. This should warrant him some sort of financial reimbursment or at the very least a place in Harvard's hall of fame. Shortly after however, simply from repeated shooting (no other shenanigans had commenced yet), one of the rims simply broke off. Just straight up, out of nowhere, broke. So as soon as this sadness set in, and before I could get out the gorilla glue, a 'friend' decided that a drunken slam dunk was the only way to fix it. While I'm sure highly entertaining at the time, I have come to find out that the Double Shootout is in fact not drunken dunk-proof. It now sits miserable and disheveled in the corner of my apt, dreaming of its former glory as the greatest thing I have ever purchased in my entire life. Harvard Schmarvard, make me a heavy duty version; I lead a rough and tough life. Your flimsy basketball hoop stood no chance against a small group of 21 years old.

This product was a great price, but I've ordered 4 now, and the electronics consistently do not work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Indiana Grandpa, January 2, 2008
This review is from: Harvard Double Shootout Arcade Basketball Game (Sports)
This was the best toy for the money. All the parts plus some extra, 6 inflatable small basketballs, super electronics, I will buy another for my own basement. The grandkids had a great time with this at Christmas as well as their Uncle and Dad. If you are looking for a close to arcade type game then buy this one. No mechanical counters, infared sensors are easy to install and durable. I really love the idea of no batteries.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Product, March 8, 2007
This review is from: Harvard Double Shootout Arcade Basketball Game (Sports)
My son and I use the double shootout hoop every evening. It works great and we have a little competetion going who scores the most. The only problem with the product is the electronic scoring system never worked from day one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Game, August 1, 2007

Game came in on time, make sure you have a socket set to put together, scoreboard works most of the time, have to adjust sensors to get both working in most cases though

3.0 out of 5 stars Damaged but still fun., May 14, 2007
This review is from: Harvard Double Shootout Arcade Basketball Game (Sports)
The game came in a chewed up box, the corners of the backboard were smashed, a major loop for the canvas was ripped but all were pretty easily repaired. We used it for a corporate party, and for $100 we got exactly what we payed for, a little damaged but a hell of a lot of fun. I would probably buy again if using it for the same purpose.

5.0 out of 5 stars lots of fun, January 17, 2007
This review is from: Harvard Double Shootout Arcade Basketball Game (Sports)
This item is fairly large but does fold. I play with my kids and have a big time because sometimes I can win. The sensors are sensitive to light which my lights are from the ceiling so I dim them. But overall much fun.

1.0 out of 5 stars Only half there!, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Harvard Double Shootout Arcade Basketball Game (Sports)
I purchased the Harvard Double Shootout only to find that when the box was opened about 1/3 of the parts were missing!! There were no bolts, screws, or wrenches, many of the support tubes were missing and there was no air pump.
