don't sleep on boondox!!!,
By
This review is from: Harvest (Audio CD)
I bought this cd the day it came out. Here it is, almost a week later, and it has left my cd player once, and then it went right back in. I cannot stop listening to it. It's so different from anything psychopathic has ever put out, yet it still has that dark carnival sound. The production is great, courtesy of Mike E. Clark. Several songs have that real country sound, and somehow, it sounds amazing. Bottom line is, please don't sleep on boondox. If you're not sure of him because he's from the south, get that thought outta your mind and get this cd!!!

Psychopathic for Life,
This review is from: Harvest (Audio CD)
That's right. The Harvest is here and it's a great time to be alive. If this doesn't catch your ear then you should go buy some nipple tassles and listen to Britney Spears. Boondox is the best thing to hit Psychopathic since Twiztid. I hope he hangs out longer than ABK--sucks that Psychopathic lost him but he's still around (and his work is the sh**)Completely different sound from the normal Detroit sound (does Detroit have a 'normal' sound?) The country beats are sick! The flows are sick, the video for "they pray with snakes" is sick. He even has a cool image (sometimes I think image holds artists back--look at Blaze--great rapper, not the best image (sorry man, still got love for your work). So go get the Harvest and then F#42 OFF!

I was looking forward to this CD since it was announced, and had completely forgotten that it came out today...so when I found out I went out and bought a copy.
I really am digging it, some real AAA tracks. My favorites are: Seven, Out Here, Aint a Thang, They Pray with Snakes, Sippin, Lake of Fire, Red Mist, and Angel Like. Boondox has potential and an AAAwesome gimmick...I'm hopin his next release is at least this good. Well..next up for me is The Tempest.

Mix Banjos with Psychopathic,

This review is from: Harvest (Audio CD)
that is pretty much what you got here with a absolutely talented artist. Boondox is a breath of fresh air for psychopathic records. i love ICP, like twiztid, but think blaze and ABK are so-so. this guy just jumped above Blaze and ABK and up there with Esham in my books. i loved the fact he used the southern boondock sound to enhance his own unique style.
pretty much everyone who reviewed this CD so far have said what their favorite songs were, but i have to say the entire CD from start to finish is a masterpiece. even people who ain't into psychopathic music that i have introduced this artist to like this. that seems kind of hard to do lately with psychopathic records. check this one out. if you happened to catch AMB (Axe Murder Boyz) and was expecting to hear the same thing, don't worry. this cd is much much better. I just heard AMB's cd and thought i heard a new twiztid album. it was like deja vu. Boondox did not copy anyone's style. he has his own.

In my opinion, Boondox is the future of Psychopathic Records. When its other artists (Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, ect) album quality has faltered in recent years it's nice to see a solid album dropping with the hatchetman emblem attached. There is, honestly, not a single bad track on this disc.
I must admit though, I was apprehensive at first when I heard about Boondox. A southern rapper signing with Psychopathic?! Didn't this go against everything the clowns have been preaching over the past few years?! And he's a scarecrow! What the hell?! That's even worse! But I am so glad that I gave him the chance. I am without doubt that he is the future of Psychopathic Records and will one day rule in place of ICP and Twiztid. BUY THIS ALBUM!

When I first heard about Psychopathic's newest recording artist, Boondox(the Skarcrow), I was diggin it right away. After hearing "They Pray With Snakes", and watching the video, I thought this guy was gonna be real tight. But I was still nervous. Psychopathic has been a little less wicked this year (which isn't an insult cuz I'm lovin everything they've put out this year). I just wanted my horrorcore/wicked tracks back. And lemme tell you, this hick named Boondox hand delivered it to me.
This is Psychopathic Records as we knew it a few years back. Wicked! "Seven", "The Harvest", "Rollin Hard", and "Red Mist" all display that violent crazy stuff that we've grown to love. AMB, while they aren't the best, really rip up the title track. "Lady In The Jaguar", a tale about rich girls lost in the boons featuring the wicked clowns themselves ICP, is really catchy and funny (especially J's verse). "Angel Like", the album's finale, is a sing-a-long song about a guy who falls in love with the new girl in town, yet grows to hate her when she becomes popular and forgets about him. It's really sick and yet fun to listen to. This is Psychopathic for ya. I hope to hear a lot more from Boondox. He's definitely a fresh addiction to the label that runs beneath the streets.

i've had the cd since it first came out and for some reasom decided to review it almost three years after its release. i honestly love prety much every song on the album with the exceptions of the first and last which i still like but one's an intro and one's a little too slow for me but still has a good concept. in my opinion the best are seven, diggin' my self out, they pray with snakes, the harvest, and lake of fire.
