4.0 out of 5 stars Great, creepy horror tales., March 14, 2006
By
This review is from: Harvest of Horrors (Hardcover)
A Harvest of horrors is a collection of a group of short-story-horror tales. The plots range from one of a irritating rooster that just won't go away from the backyard of a woman that has plenty of stress on her mind to one about a mysterious and creepy man that will give you his new sports car if you're able to complete a task. If you're not able to complete the task, your finger will be chopped off--disturbing enough. Through out this book, the writing remains stellar and top-notched. I never at once felt that the "horror" was forced, instead, I felt that the writers constructed a plot first and then let the horror develop from it. Horror legends such as H.P. Lovecraft and Robert Bloch are included in this edition. Though the book is for the most part solid, I would not say that every short story included in this book is good;however, I will say that there are definetly some very spine tingling and disturbing stories included in this book that every true horror fan should read.
