My daughter and I have been waiting for a guide book. I hope there's one with each new game.

So far, we like the book. We also like the fact that it covers two games. We would like for it to have more information on the DS game but oh well.

This book is very good. It tells about all of the items in the game and how much u can get if you ship them. It also includes all of the recipes for cooking, over 200! The map in this game is 100% correct(the other person just cant read one!)To sum it all up this book talks about tolls, fishing, mining, farming, caring for animals, selling, making friends and get a spouse. It also includes maps. Plus it covers Harvest Moon: DS. THIS BOOK ROCKS

I've been a huge fan of the harvest moon franchise for a long time. I wish that Bradygames had taken the fan base into account when making this guide. All of the important information can be found in this guidebook but I feel it was horribly organized and as another reviewer stated some of the information is not accurate. I suggest doing a search in your browser of choice and finding a dedicated fan website. They have been a lot more helpful to me than this ever will be.

I'm new to the Harvest Moon series and received Magical Melodies as a Christmas gift. I'm not that impressed with the game and even less impressed with the game guide. The game guide is confusing and doesnt give good details. I've bought other guides in the past and have been pretty satisfied. If your new to the series, the guide should be able to answer simple questions, but it doesn't. I agree with the other reviewers, wait until you can get the guide online.

To me, this game really is a challenge. I recently lost my copy of the game, within my own household ironically, and I've tried playing it without it.
The other HM games are a snap, this however isn't.

However, this guide goes through every little detail. It's the only way I can play,and succeed, at the game.

I just received my Harvest Moon-MM guide on Friday and it has everything you need to know. If you're just starting out, this guide will tell you how to plant, ways to make money, expand your house, and so much more. The reviewer before me said the map is wrong, that some areas are not what they should be. The map in my guide is 100% correct. She probably doesn't have basic reading skills. If youhave the money, buy this guide. I find it easier and convenient referring to the guide, rather than going online and getting info. What's a little over$10.00 going to do? Buy this guide today.

I absolutely adore Harvest Moon and have bought every single game released. Imagine my delight when I learned that, for the first time since Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, there would be a strategy guide. So, of course, I hurried out to buy it.

What a let down. Not only does this guide spend a large proportion of its pages describing aspects of the game that are either intuitive or pretty much the same as games that have come before, but in many cases it's just flat out wrong. The map of the village it provides with its nice little numbers pointing out where everything is, that'd be awful useful. Except that it's WRONG! For the most part, the numbers don't match up, not to mention that there are more numbers on the map than desciptions following after. And that's only one example.

So my advice is don't waste your money. Wait a couple of months, and then find a fan written strategy guide online. It'll be far more accurate

I ordered this in mid-October for Christmas. I am still waiting (mid February).

I never received the Harvest Moon Strategy Guide, so I can't review it. The last info I received said that it was on backorder.
