SHINING STAR

In a few short years, young actress Regina Cole achieved overnight success in Hollywood, and then stunned the world by giving up her career to marry a man much older than she out of deep affection. After his death, she knew that dealing with his estranged son, Brazil-based microbiologist Dr. Aaron Spencer, would be no easy task. But she never expected the instant attraction that would flare between them-or a breathtaking sensual passion she couldn't resist.

LASTING LOVE

A heartbreaking discovery had made Aaron swear he would someday get revenge on his father, and that he would never trust any woman again. With his father gone, he though that seducing Regina would help ease his anger and loss. But after nights spent together in the glow of Bahia's harvest moon, his desire for her ignites into something far more than he'd ever imagined. Now, with their future suddenly at stake, Aaron and Regina must find their way through deceit and pain to risk everything on a fragile trust that promises a love for all time...

From the Author

HARVEST MOON, is the first book of The Hideaway Daughters & Sisters Trilogy, but overall the fifth book of this popular Hideaway Series. Regina Cole, is the daughter of Martin Cole from the book titled, Hideaway.

From the Inside Flap

He felt the blood pool in his groin, and knew he was lost. The desire he had fought from the instant he saw Regina Cole-Spencer exploded uncontrollably until he was shaking from the passion, struggling not to erupt and embarrass himself. He did not want to pour out his passions on the bed, but inside of the woman writhing under him.

Pulling back, he buried his face in her unbound hair, which spread out on the pillow in a cascade of black, silken curls.

"Princesa," he groaned as if in pain.

"Aaron?" She answered his groan with her own moan. "I don't want to take advantage of you. Tell me now if you want to take this further."

Her breath was coming faster. "And if I say I don't?"

"Then I'll stop."

A haze of passion swept over Regina, her mind reeling in confusion. Her body wanted Aaron, needed him, while she knew it was wrong to remain in his arms and in his bed. Could she sleep with him in the dark and not experience guilt in the full sunlight? Could she successfully affect indifference after sleeping with him when it came time for her to leave Mexico? What was it about Aaron Spencer that made her so wanton and so reckless?

5.0 out of 5 stars A Real Love!, November 2, 2000
This review is from: Harvest Moon (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
Talk about a deep! That's how deep a woman can be loved. Just ask Regina Cole. Her man loved her with everything he had in him. Aaron is my idea of a great man. He is funny, charming, caring, protective, affectionate, intelligent, and a real cutie pie! A real lovely story. Alers kicks off the Second Generation of the Cole/Kirkland/Sterling saga (the Hideaway Legacy) very nicely! Go get the complete set: Hideaway,Hidden Agenda, Vows, Heaven Sent,Harvest Moon, and Just Before Dark. Alers has more to tell about the Cole/Kirkland/Sterling clan, much love Alers!

5.0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING,ROMANTIC,WELL WRITTEN, November 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Harvest Moon (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
The second generation of the Coles,Kirklands, and the Sterlings, is a wonderfully written novel, with the love and support of family and lover, Regina Cole has grown up to become an outstanding young woman, and truly deserves the happiness shes rewarded with Aaron Spencer. Ms. Alers has always lived up to my expectations from the time I picked up my first Rochelle Alers novels, and I've come to expect nothing less, and she continues to overwhelm me with her creativity in writing. Congratulations on a job well done! Betty

You wonder why a young woman would marry a man old enough to be her grandfather. Regina Cole had a wonderful story. She had love for two men. Her love for the older man was one of compassion, gratitude and loyalty. The love for the younger man was one of passion and trust binding them close together. Regina was a courageous young woman and Aaron was not only handsome, but was caring. Ms. Alers has done it again, providing us with a story that is senuous as well as spellbinding. Keep on keeping on.
