The Power Plunger is similar to a normal plunger, except that it is made out of very heavy duty rubber, and has a funnel section that drops down from the inside of the plunger. The flange seats inside the toilet drain or the sink drain. When the hollow bulb section inside the plunger is filled with water, the Power Plunger is capable of delivering more force and suction, than the average plunger.
Usually it just takes a few thrusts, to fill the bulb with water. Now before you decide to plunge away like mad, here are a few tips. Wear safety glasses, as water can splash up while you pump, and you don't want contaminated water or gunk to get in your eyes. If you think things might get messy, dress appropriately, and use a mask to protect your face and mouth if you feel that you need to.
Begin pumping slowly, and get a feel for the plunger, and the amount of resistance. Increase pumping force as you feel necessary, but be careful not to overstraining your back. You may not feel any pain immediately, but your back may let you know later, if you strained something. The Power Plunger is not intended to be used on flat drains. Using it on this type of drain will give your arms an extreme workout.
When used properly, the Power Plunger is very effective, and I highly recommend it. I got mine dirt cheap at a local hardware store. While the rubber plunger seems almost indestructible, the wood handle feels a little cheap, but at least it is painted, which provides a better grip.

Well made heavy duty plunger with a lot of sucking power for the poop. ;pPublished 2 months ago by MF150
Hard to use and hardens easily, which makes it almost impossible to use. This plunger makes the process of unclogging sick and disgusting. It always gets stuck. TRASHPublished on October 9, 2013 by Hardboiled 1
