I am not an art or art history student, but like glass works of art and love reading biographies. I found this book to be a fascinating story of the life of Harvey Littleton. It's a great biography with many photographs of not only his artwork but the family and places in his life. With his background in physics as well as working at Corning Glass, he had a neverending drive to move the glass furnace into the art studio and create sculptures out of glass. I saw his exhibit at the Chazen Museum of Art in Madison because I had an interest in Dale Chihuly. I loved the book! The color photographs of his work are beautiful.

A great education with amazing imagery. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the history of glass artwork in America. Along with Studio Glass in America: A 50 Year Journey would be a great addition to any library.
