5.0 out of 5 stars One of the TOP FIVE TRANSFORMERS, EVER!
Landmine is a truly excellent Transformer. In vehicle mode, he looks very cool as some sort of earth moving construction vehicle. He has a working crane device. He also has a detachable gunnery station in back.
The robot mode is also very well done. Well sculpted, and super poseable. The gunnery station can be turned into armor to form Brute Mode! The...

2.0 out of 5 stars B-A-D - get Scorponok instead
This would have been a nice toy had it been released without the awful battle station/armor/electronic sounds box. The basic robot is decent enough and nicely articulated but the vehicle mode is pretty lame, with large gaps and spaces in it. The "powerlinx" mode is just terrible, where all you do is loosely fit the very lightweight and incongrous parts onto the basic...

The robot mode is also very well done. Well sculpted, and super poseable. The gunnery station can be turned into armor to form Brute Mode! The electronic sounds are less annoying than most, as well.
Hats off to Hasbro for making one of the best Transformers in 20 years!

Energon Landmine is one of the best transformers in the energon toy line. Not as cool as Energon Megatron (which is the best one so far) But I would say the second or third. His vehicle is a little strange buts its cool. The robot mode is awsome. He can go into cool poses and his powerlinks is cool. I would give Energon landmine a 9.8 out of ten. I hope this review will help everyone.

I recently purchased my Landmine figure. I've LOVED him since I bought him! The vehicle mode, while having several spaces/openings in it, is pretty solid. It definitely reminds me of several vehicles from the "Road Warrior" movie. Now onto the best part, the transformation. Landmine's transformation into the basic figure is rather easy. His joints are a bit stiffer than most people would probably like, but the ratchet joints help massively with poseability. Landmine is loads of fun just in the basic mode with his "base" trailer. As for his Powerlinx combo, it simply transformers the base trailer into two arm extensions and a backpack. I found the Powerlinx combo to be a bit awkward, but I've grown used to it. I've especially liked the fact that Landmine is a stand alone figure unlike say... Hot Shot and Inferno or any of the other Powerlinx combos. Overall, this is one of my favorite figures from the Energon line. I highly recommend him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Landmine: by far the coolest Autobot, May 17, 2004

Landmine Rocks. In vehicle mode (whatever it is) he's really cool. Especially powerlinxed with the rest of himself, which has a working crane and missile launching weapon. In robot mode he's awesome. The exhaust pipes on his shoulder can come forward when his arms are placed out in front of him and be weapons. His crane thing folds out into a standing turret. But then his turret comes apart to powerlinx with him. I've heard bad things said about this mode, but I don't think it's all that bad. His powerlinx arms fall off sometimes, but it's not that bad. The only problem is when you transform him back to truck, crane, whatever mode. It takes some frustrating time to get his plow back together. But once you get used to it it's easy. To wrap it up, Landmine is awesome and gets my vote for the coolest Autobot yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Energon gives a little back, March 11, 2004

Landmine is one of the best figures to come out of the Energon line so far. The vehicle mode is one of the best I have seen, its not based to much on earth vehicles but takes some cues from the dead Transtech line that was supposed to follow Beast Machines. When you transform him into robot mode, the back part turns into a gun station that sits at just the right height. He is super poseable in robot mode, and when combined with the Gun station, he shifts to his brute mode. Now in this mode he is just imposing, but once some of the other figured from the Ultra is released, you will be able to combine them with others.

Cant wait to see what he turns into next.

I have been collecting Transformers since about 1986 and I have to say that Landmine is one of the very best. His vehicle and robot modes are powerful looking and well put together. His robot mode is very poseable, well-proportioned and well-colored. I especially like the 'glowing eyes' feature and the cool visor on his head. Transformation is a little challenging for younger folks, but for you older skeptical collectors...don't hesitate to buy this one! In my mind, Hasbro has reedeemed itself by going back to its G1 roots!
