The case opens up to reveal the game which has brightly colored squares. The squares are brighter than the basic Scrabble game but not so bright as to be an eye sore. Two drawers open to reveal space for the directions, the squares which are the traditional Scrabble brownish beige, a bag to hold the squares, curved square holders and extra space for a pen and paper to keep score.
When shut the case is fairly compact and ready for storage. It would have been nice if the drawers were slightly larger to hold the popular paperback Scrabble dictionary Amazon also sells but then it may have to have been larger.
The product is made of a durable plastic. Overall a great buy if you are looking for a Scrabble game.
This 2010 Scrabble Deluxe Edition received practically a perfect score with approximately 5 stars! And with 33 pages of reviews since it was released in 2010 it sounds too good to be true, right? That's because it is!
This edition has been discontinued and there's a good reason for that. It's a cheap and poorly manufactured product! Why? The board itself is uneven due to it folding in half, with a slight gap and moves ever so slightly every time a word is played. Think of when you're sitting at a table with legs in a restaurant, and due to it being uneven, the table slightly moves every time you touch it. Then you have to place a piece of paper underneath a leg to stop it from moving. That's exactly how it feels using this board.
The tiles are awful! They're cut unevenly, therefore, irregular in size. Also, the ink used for the letters sometimes saturates one tile while another is faded. The letters are unevenly sized/stamped, i.e., sometimes the letter is in the middle and sometimes it's up towards the left corner or slightly to the right side of the tile. The tile rack looks like something from the dollar store, and by that I mean ALL four tile racks cost one dollar.
This is nothing more than an over-hyped, overpriced piece of junk. I was duped and will be donating this game to Goodwill.Read more ›

I bought this so you could turn the board towards each player. It works, but is made of cheap plastic and the tiles are slightly more difficult to place on the board. Read morePublished 6 days ago by Expert999
