Product Description

Uh oh! Your little spud pals are in big trouble, they’re in the kitchen and they could be made into “food”! Mold potato pal pawns out of Play-Doh modeling compound and then use the spinner to move them across the board. But be careful of where you land, or else your spud buddy could get snipped, sliced, pressed into “fries” or cranked into “chips!” Help your pal get out of the kitchen and back to the farm first and you’re the winner!

Fun, affordable and not one easily found in stores!

Only complaint is that the smash machine doesn't attach to the board very well and you have to stabilize it with your hand while you smash/crank the machine.

I recommend this game if you are looking for a game to play with preschool age children for family game night.

I like this game - however, at first we could not figure out how to win! Initially we made the mistake of just mashing our potato whenever it landed on a mashing station - now we realize that you "wait" and if a player gets the "mashed " spot on the spiner, then you get mashed ( or not, if the player decides not to) . It's cute - we just wish that the instructions had been more clear.

Our youngest just got this for his 5th birthday. We have three boys and they all LOVED it. I even enjoyed playing it with them, even though my potato became french fries again and again. The game is quick and fun. The best part is that it teaches good losing skills and for that I scored it as a 4 on educational value. My boys (5, 6 and 7) are very competitive and get upset when bad things happen. The first few times my middle landed on a smashing spot, he got very upset and whiny, anticipating being smashed. And he did get smashed... but he realized that fun could be had not just by winning the game but by playing and enjoying when your potato got unlucky. Note: we did NOT implement the rule where you can choose not to smash anyone if you spin it on your turn. I think that is not such a good idea for younger kids, it makes it personal and is a recipe for hard feelings. Maybe we'll add that in later, but right now I'm just enjoying my kids enjoying a game where they aren't all obsessed with who wins. I would have loved to have given the game a 5 for fun and overall rating but unfortunately it IS pretty cheap plastic, the crank doesn't stay on, you have to stabilize the whole thing with your hand, etc. Durability wise, don't expect much, but I expect them to get a lot out of it while it lasts.

This game is easy to play and understand. However, it's hard to win. Every time I play with my son, we always get smashed over and over before anyone can get to the end and win.

Bought this for my 5 year old. Cute game and easy enough to figure out and play. But it's not very durable. Every time we try to turn the handle to use the scissors, the scissors pop out of the track and fall won't work. We have to hold down the plastic every time. Handle of the crank also falls off very easily. Kids still have fun playing but be prepared to have to fix the plastic pieces each time.

My 4yr old son has been wanting this toy for months and we just bought it on clearance. He is having fun smashing and rolling BUT the game isn't even worth the 5 buck I paid for it. The mash machine does not have enough power to cut the playdough and falls apart when we spin to activate the mash machine. And as previous poster said it falls off of the game board easily. We have not found it easy to win either. I am tempted to toss the mash machine and put down my own play dough toys so at least we get results. None of this really matters to my son, he is having fun destroying the machine with playdough. The only draw back for him is the fry maker part of the machine on makes 1 1/2 inch fries. I would not buy this again.

Very cute, and quick to play. We found it easy to win, unlike the previous review. Yes, you smash your game piece, but you get to start again when you get smashed. He's been playing with it for an hour now (a long time for a four year old!) Only complaint is that the smash machine doesn't attach to the board very well and you have to stabilize it with your hand while you smash/crank the machine.

I got this for my 5 year-old son. He LOVES this game. I really enjoy it, too. I was so happy to finally find a game that is original, and not a rehash of another game! We all have so much fun waiting to get a chance to demolish the other play dough character! I would highly recommend this to anyone tired of playing the same old board games over and over!

The general concept of this game is fantastic... The execution and design follow-through? Not so much. The mechanisms don't lock onto the board, so when you turn the crank, it slips and shifts. The entire board it affected. The scissors won't actually cut unless you manually make them. The fry cutter press is incredibly hard to press down through the dough, the chip roller keeps trying to pop off rather than roll/press the dough... You get the idea.

However, with a good sense of humor, some hands on support, and maybe some rule altering (we play exact count to finish, extra kicks you backwards the remaining number), and some joking around... It can be a real good time full of laughs and unforeseen "accidents" for your spuds in the making.
