5.0 out of 5 stars Four!
I got this floor game for my kids and they had a ball(no pun) The characters voices and comments are very funny. When the little Gophers go down in thier holes they talk as if in a cave! They seem to have endless sayings.

Has a little bit of assembly, but not too hard. It was easy to play and the kids had lot's of fun. The toys is made of really high quality plastics...

My 5 year old still loves Silly Six Pins, so when he saw this game he begged for it. Since I was so pleased with the bowling game, I gave in and bought this for hm. Although he did have fun playing with it, I thought it a mistake. The front panels that form the slope up to the hole do not stay securely connected to the base, requiring the player to frequently reassemble to game in order to continue playing. The ball is very lightweight, so unlike with the bowling game it is possible that a well-hit ball will bounce off of the gophers rather than knocking them down. It can take so long for anyone (including my husband, an 8-handicap golfer) to get the ball successfully up onto the "green" that you will find yourself ready to strangle the gophers for constantly repeating the same 3 phrases over and over again. We've actually had the game turn itself off before we got the ball in the hole. I love the bowling game, but I'd recommend a pass on this - and my son, who asked to play it several times when he first received it, hasn't taken it back out in over a month.

My only gripes are you have to take it apart a bit to store it in the box, but again it is pretty easy to do. Take that Tiger Woods!

3.0 out of 5 stars golf for the kids, October 25, 2002

We took advantage of Amazon[.com]'s/Toys R Us' "buy one get one free" deal on board games, and picked this up for our 3 year old son. He was freaking out once we began to put it together and realized that we forgot to get the batteries, so I had to rush down to the drugstore on an emergency Duracell run. Anyway, I got back and we finished hooking up the pieces.

My son loves this game, but I have one complaint: the thing just won't stay hooked together. I have popped the pieces of the "golf green" together so many times it has become a routine. This can be frustrating to both child and (especially) parent, so you may want to consider this when making a decision on buying this game.

"Silly Six Pins" is a bowling game made by the same company (Hasbro) and it is high-quality and fun. I would recommend it over the golf game.

My daughter received this toy for Christmas a year ago. She has tried to play it many times with us and with her friends. It always looks so fun on the box. The problems with this toy are multiple. First, it comes in four pieces-which will NOT stay together long enough to play the game. It is a frustrating game because it is so hard to score anything! Now, I've had kids from 4 to 43 try this thing and it is tough!! The gopher which pops up broke shortly after arrival and it no longer pops up. (I guess we should be glad that it didn't get stuck in the up position!) To top it all off, getting the pieces back into the original packaging ain't no easy feat either! I would save my money and stick with the Silly Bowling game. It is a lot more fun and a lot more durable.

2.0 out of 5 stars DONT BUY IT, March 30, 2004

My sons 2 and 4 played with this toy for about 10 minutes after setting it up. We all hated the way it fell apart when moved, and the balls didnt always go where they were supposed to. When in storage, you need to take out the batteries for the thing to shut up, otherwise you hear it in the closet in the middle of the night. My husband said he turned the switch off, but it was faulty. The boys had more fun hitting each other with the clubs, than trying to sink the balls. My recommendation....dont buy it. Ours found a permanent placement in the garbage.

This game has the bones of a fun and entertaining toy. I am sorry to say it does not deliver. My son received this game on Christmas and the day after I was ready to throw it out. It continuously comes apart and should be redesigned.

4.0 out of 5 stars Part II of Frustrating Golf, January 30, 2003

I like this toy much better now that I have used 3/4 of a tube of construction adhesive on the underside! I propped and glued the three piece ramp together and secured it with electrical tape to be sure it wouldn't shift while drying. Then I attached the ramp to the gopher part and flipped & glued the heck out of that too! It is not coming apart for anything. I do warn---before you do this--make sure you have room to store it when it is together. I have a toy room/closet, but it fits under a bed too:) The other warning is--make sure your child is not around when you begin gluing. My two year old wanted to sit next to it and wait for it to dry! Now---if I can only shut those gophers up...

This game should be a huge hit. My two sons, ages three and six, love golf and are always 'practicing'. They wanted this for Christmas and were thrilled when it was under the tree. Unfortunately, the excitement ended there as the green does not stay together - it didn't the first day and it has not improved. We are all frustrated with the construction and find playing 'silly' golf impossible.

My son got this toy for his 3rd birthday & loves it. He loves anything with golf, so I new this would be great. He loves talking to the little guys in the game. The only problem that I have with this game is that the 3 peices keeps comming apart. Its annoying for a 3 year old because they cant put it back together. Once you place it down it has to stay there. Also, it keeps talking even when you leave the game. But it's a fun golf game & keeps him busy.

My daughter aged 4 loves all of the "Silly" toys. This toy does come apart easily, but it is also easy to put back together. We've played with it for hours without it coming apart, just needs to be on a flat surface. She also loves to just hit the little gophers as they pop up.
