4.0 out of 5 stars Trivial Pursuit Greatest Hits
The best thing about this version is that you roll to determine the number of spaces to move and also to determine what category this question will come from. Good game, recent questions.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs more question cards.
My family loves Trivial Pursuit so I bought this version to try. The questions are great for the most part and directions are simple. My only complaint is there aren't near enough question cards. We played this 2 times and by then we had to skip over so many because we had been through them already. I only paid $12 for it though and got free shipping so the price wasn't...

I was hesitant at first to purchase this version of Trivial Persuit, mainly because of all the bad reviews it got. But I love the game and it just looked too good so I bought it. And, I was right. It is the classic board game, only with more variety in the questions! Many complain it is too complicated, but the rules are exactly the same, and they give you exact category listings, so you can't be confused.

This isn't a game for anyone who liked the original Trivial Pursuit, who likes to read (there are no literature categories), or who hasn't spent the last 30 years in front of the television.

I'm a pretty intelligent person-and an 80's nut job... But this game still had questions that none of us could answer. What fun is that? Not the trivia game I had hoped it would be...

I was adamant to buy Monopoly b/c really what game out there beats it. Well my boyfriend insisted on Trivial Pursuit Popculure 2 DVD. He thought it would be great fun. Except when we took it home the questions were unreasonably hard and we decided to go after the Totally 80s version instead. Just our luck this version was in the store and cheaper so we picked it up. I absolutely love it. It's way more fun answering questions for the three different categories, such as 80s, 90s, and Pop Culture 2. We found the game more enjoyable because the questions were fun and the diversity of the game was exactly what we wanted. While I still believe Monopoly is the best board game out there, he believes this one is better-- and you know he might be right.

I loved that the ugly tokens from games past are not available, instead the game tokens are little hexagons where you place the wedges you score. I love this so much better because we were able to keep track of what we won without losing pieces and it was practical. The game even seems easier and less complicated/boring than Pop Culture 2 game-- I think ultimately this version is cheaper than each game separate but is to much fun to pass up. Only problem is that we will run out of questions if we played with more people.

WE love game, but our kids are still to young to want to play. Their knowledge and interset are focused on action games.
