5.0 out of 5 stars Really entertaining & great teaching toy!
My family is probably way off the demographic map for this game. My 6 yr old son picked out this game much to my husband's dissatisfaction (he wanted him to get a nerf target shooter). Well, we all had a total BLAST playing this game!! My 5 & 6 yr old boys needed a little help with the skill & pragmatics of game playing. They actually caught on very quickly for a game...

They actually caught on very quickly for a game recommended for ages 9 and up. The simple fun and highly entertaining game play also incorporates many teaching opportunities. Players need to strategize, count money/make change, evaluate purchases, keep an eye on their finances, look for bargains, play defensively as well as offensively, and really garner a plan of attack (what mall stores to go to, when and where, based both on proximity and ever changing sales) to optimize their buying power all the while keeping an eye on the other shoppers progress. This totally is not a "froo-froo" girl's only game! A heads-up warning, expect to spend at least 20 minutes simply setting the game up for first time play unless multiple persons assist. My family enjoys playing games together and this is a terrific addition to our collection! The first thing we did the morning after we got the game (we had played it the night before) was play three more rounds of Mall Madness back to back-even before we ate b-fast! I think that is quite the statement to how much fun and enjoyment we got out of playing.

I got this last year and it is pretty fun. It takes some time to set up and you sometimes have to press the "say it again" button alot. Mine so far is fun. My mom even says on stormy days "How about that Mall Madness" game. It really makes you learn the sentence "do not spend all the money" because then you have to go to the ATM.
Hope this review helped!

Mall Madness is probaly my favorite game. The way I first heard of it was when I went to my friends house and she asked me if I wanted to play a new game she got, well of course I said yes because it was a new game that I did not have so I wanted to play to see if I wanted to buy it some day . Well now I know that I want it. So my parents are thinking about getting it for me.I think this is a 5 star game . I also like this game because it teaches kids to spend there money wisely and that they cant always get what they want. Also I think that it teaches kids that when you get old enough to have a credit card that you cant always keep getting money out and that when you use up all the money in your account then you cant get any money out any more .So I think this game teaches kids a lot about money, and how you should spend your money wisely.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Toy, Mall Madness - By an 11-year old, November 16, 2004

This toy is really fun when your playing with four people. It's adventurous, and very interesting. The object of the game is to buy 6 items with your cash card (yes, you get a credit card-fake!@) and reach your destination to win. Mall Madness is really fun. Even though its ages 9+. I being 11 play it alot because I own it. You get to take out money from the ATM and buy items according to your person. The clearance and sales and your detination change throughout the game, believe me you'll rather play this game with a bunch of friends than to go to the mall. Plus you save the walking and let the fictional board game be your dream mall!

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly fun for everyone!, October 12, 2005

I bought this game on sale thinking that it was just a teen's game and would put it away to give as a gift later. Well curiosity about it won over and I decided to play it with some friends. I actually found it to be quite fun. We played the game for several hours and it never became boring and everyone had a great time.
The object of the game is to buy 6 items on your list and be the first one to get to the specific location designated to win. While making the rounds of the mall sometimes the items you need are out of stock and sometimes you just don't have enough money so you have to head back to the ATM for more funds. At times you are about to make it to the store to buy your item on clearance when the sale runs out. You can be just a move away from winning when you are sent somewhere else and someone else wins. Not hard to get the hang of how to play after a couple rounds. The game is a bit of a challenge to set up and put away, but gets less confusing each time you do so.
In all I think its a sure hit for teen girls and family game night. Adults, like myself, will have a lot of fun playing too.

This game was purchased for my daughters who are 8 and 10. They have had so much fun playing this game! I had played the game with them on several occasions and I'd have to admit, I had fun too! This is the first game they go for when their friends are over. A+ for fun and excitement!

I played this game and I thought it was the best. My friend and I played it for hours none stop. But you can really realate to the game because when I go to the mall I'm all was looking for sales. This game also boosts your money skills! I play with my 6 year old friend sometimes I have to help her but most of the time she can do it her self. I think the game should be from ages 6 - 13.

I just got Mall Madness, and it is so much fun. At first setup was a little tricky, so my dad had to help me. I just played it this afternoon with my 13 yr old brother and it was so much fun. It is only for 2-4 players, even though there are 6 people to choose, two of which are boys. The instructions didn't say which six itmes to buy, so we made up one from each color area. The board is very cool looking after it is all setup, and so I don't have to set it up every time I play, we carried down to our basement. It is so much fun and easy to figure out. I hope you will enjoy this game.

I got this game for Christmas (I'm a shopholic) and I LOVE it! Megan's my fave and each person has their own personal shopping list from pets to toys to books to cd's and more! The little device talks and decides how many turns you take. No annoying spinner to keep landing on the line! The only let down are the shopping lists. Their flimsy and sometime when you put the plastic checks on, it destroys the cardboard. But anyway I love it and whenever I play, I usualy win! :D
