Let loose in this game of verbal explosions. It's best to play with an even number of people so that you can split up into teams. First, your team gets a topic like "commands you give a dog." Then you shout out answers for 60 seconds in an attempt to name the commands given on the game card. There are plenty of answers but the ten that score points are the only ten listed on the game card. I wouldn't recommend this game for young kids since a lot of the topics would be a bit too advanced for them. A great party game though.

I've played Outburst since it first came out over 20 years ago. I like this new version because you can choose the categories you want in the beginning. The choices become fewer as the game goes on. There's a strategy towards the end of the game to give the tougher categories to your opponents. My group just plays the straight Outburst game. We tried the Reverseburst but didn't really care for it. But this game always livens up a dull party.

I love good, fun board games. The educational aspect is a bonus, which this one meets. We brought this one over to a friend's house and we had a blast. Everyone got into the game and we all got so animated. This can be played with the family and/or friends. I would recommend this product to anyone who likes board games that are both fun and educational. The only negative thing I can say about this game is: once we go through the entire deck of cards, it won't be challenging anymore and so will be sitting in the closet...waiting for someone else to play it.

I remember playing Outburst as a kid and since we now have children I have been looking for games that we can play with large groups. We tend to have lots of people over and Outburst is always a good time.

My family has always been a big fan of the original Outburst, which we've been playing for 20+ years since it came out in the mid-1980s. It's a lot of fun, allows everyone to participate without the need for specific expertise, and never puts anyone on the spot. It's fun to play as a low-key way to get to know folks, and it's just as fun for long-time friends and close family.

However, as much as we enjoyed it, the original version has become increasingly out-of-date, making some of the categories virtually unanswerable. It became less about thinking about the best answers to the categories and more about thinking about how people would have answered the question a generation ago. Though that added an extra dimension of challenge to the game, it also made many of the categories less fun. So, we were thrilled to stumble upon Ultimate Outburst, which was the same game that we love so much, but with updated questions. There were also a few different ways to play the game that were explained in the rules, but we decided to just play the way that we already knew.

Overall, we had a blast. We were so excited to find an updated version of Outburst (even though this one is becoming dated, too, having been released in 1999), and we were not disappointed. This is truly one of our favorite games, and now that we've found an updated version, we're sure to play it again frequently!!

The game, "Ultimate Outburst" was in the exact condition listed on Amazon - perfect! All the pieces were there, packaging looked great and I could have mistaken it for new if I hadn't known better.
