I purchased this game for my daughter because I thought it would be educational as well as fun. I remember playing it as a child and it really did make you think. However this version is an extreme disappointment! The tiles are so thin that you can see right through them. We've even tried playing in a room with lower lighting levels but we could still see through the tiles. Give me a paper and pen this was a waster of.

The tiles are NOT see through---they may have upgraded them. The game is GREAT for the kids. I've got two little ones that love to practice their spelling and my husband and I end up joining them. It's fun, educational and perfect for the whole family. I've very glad I ignored the review saying that they tiles were see through. It's perfect for kids (and grown ups enjoy playing it too!).

As it is, you can only create words 8 letters long. They should make it at least 10-12 letters. Some have complained that the tiles can be seen through. It's nonsense - no matter what lighting conditions you CAN'T see through them. Maybe it was a problem in earlier editions, but mine is just fine.

I read the other reviews and frankly don't agree with them. We didn't have a problem seeing through the tiles and both my 8 and 13 year old are enjoying this game immensely. When my kids played with their 79-yr old great uncle, the age gap narrowed. I do agree that there should be more slots for letters, but hey, make the best of it and enjoy!

This is a game that all kids of all ages would love to play

A good game that basically facilitates the pencil and paper game. It's no real change from a simple piece of paper but it makes it fun for my 7 year old who just loves it.

Amazing, I had this toy as a child, I bought it for my 8 year old daughter and it has not changed one bit. She enjoyed playing with it once or twice but it is confusing to see the words spelled backwards.

This was a great toy that made it much easier to play hangman than constantly writing on a piece of paper. What I didn't like was the letters as they seemed difficult to manage and were not so durable.

I have already submitted a review for the item I purchased. I have indicated the game arrived damaged. Furthermore, I made contact with the distributor about receiving a replacement game console. So far, I have not heard back from them.

I had this game growing up and it was a blast to play back then. When taking a friend and his daughter out to a restaurant, I noticed she liked playing Hangman on the kids menu. Her birthday was coming up so I tracked down a copy of this game. It really hasn't changed much over the years. The quality of the game is still strong and durable. Its easy to use and you don't even need to read the rules to get started. She has enjoyed the game ever since I gave it to her and I highly recommend it.
