This is an excellent version of the Scrabble game. The game is well conceived and well made, and will give many hours of pleasure. Suggested improvements: use a tin box (chocolate box?) rather than a plastic one; glue the game pad on a piece of foam, and then fit game pad inside lid of tin box; line the die-shaker with thin foam to reduce the noise when shaking the dies.

I enjoy a good long hard fought game of scrabble. My wife does not. This game allows us to bridge this gap in our relationship.

I purchased this game to play with my mother, who has been in an excellerated mental decline in the last 3 months. She has always been an avid scrabble and cribbage player and can still construct words and calculate her score, but facing a full scrabble board is overwhelming for her.

This version of the game has proved ideal, as there is only one word on the board at a time. This will allow her to excercise her mental capacity and keep some positive enjoyment in her day.

It's also great in that it takes up very little space, so it can be played on a lap or hospital tray. We don't use the timer as that would add too much stress.

In this game, you play your word. Your opponent plays their word, and then removes your word. You then play your word in relation to their word. It's a simple and amusing way to play the game.

The problem is that the double and triple word score tiles thus get reexposed after every usage... with the person that had previously used them getting to use them again and again and again. The only realistic way to avoid giving your opponent the triple word score repeatedly is to forfeit your turn.

As it stands, the game is broken (as is also discussed in the reviews for Scrabble Express). I love Scrabble, but I am baffled as to how this made it through any kind of substantive gameplay testing.

Either make up house rules or don't bother with this one.

I admit it, I'm a scrabble nut! My daughter and I play and give bonus points if she uses her spelling words. This is a fun way to learn spelling and we use her spelling contract with her words to encourage learning them for school. It is also a fantastic game to spend time together with your kids and family. This is a mini-version and allows for a quicker play. It was purchased for our car so my kids would have something to do on trips. The price on it was fantastic as I purchased it on sale! Highly recommend if you love scrabble like we do.

Scrabble on the Go is compact and lightweight so doesn't take much room at all to carry (can carry in a purse), doesn't take much room to play (you only need a table corner, tray on back of airline seat, or car tray), and has most of the challenge of regular Scrabble.

This is a super fun version of Scrabble. I am a bit ADD and a regular scrabble board has too much going on on it for me to pay attention to but Scrabble Scramble is perfect. Just one word at a time to play off of. You can even play against yourself and the timer if you want to practice. If you are a Scrabble or word game fan you should check this out!
