I was hoping this would be a fun indoor game for my three boys now that the weather is turning cooler. But it just doesn't work like it should and lacks the entertainment factor. The object of the game is to hit the golf ball into the gators mouth and then have the ball pop up out the back and into the air. But when then ball is hit into the gators mouth it rarely ever makes it into the small opening in back where it is supposed to pop up in the air. We tried playing this on carpet and hardwood floors. Neither helped. Also tried hitting the ball from far away and from close up to the mouth. Again not much luck. The opening of the Gators mouth is large but once in the gator the ball rarely makes it to the small area to be popped up into the air. The gators mouth has to be propped open before hitting the ball towards it. That was no problem for my 5 year old but for my 3-year-old twins I constantly had to help them prop open the gators mouth.
The game comes with two golf clubs and balls. The golf clubs are flimsy and and easily bent. I'm bummed that this game wasn't more fun and durable. It looked the right idea on TV. But after the kids realized the ball wasn't going to pop up out the back they lost interest in it within a day since it wasn't entertaining...

My daughter received this toy for Christmas last year. She was so excited to get it. I thought it was going to be a great indoor game for her & her sisters. It was very disappointing from the very 1st time she played it. The ball was very hard to hit in the right place. It never did bounce back to her like it was supposed to. Which was the whole point of the game. We had to open the mouth by hand everytime it went shut so she could play it again. She grew tired of it in a few minutes, played it a couple of more times through last winter. We had a garage sale in July, it was on it. She did not want it any longer. She is 5, her sisters are 9 & 10 & they could not make it work correctly either.
Save your money and buy something else.

This looked like a great toy, but my 4-year old isn't interested in the game. The mouth needs to be opened each time some one shoots the ball and gets it into the mouth because the mouth closes. Some one basically has to sit next to the gator to keep opening the mouth. Half the time the mouth doesn't want to stay open and an adult has to keep "playing" with the mouth until it does stay open.
It's nice because the golf clubs have numbers and a slider in order to keep score, but we usually don't play long enough to keep score because my daughter gets tired of waiting until we can keep the mouth open. Great concept, just doesn't really work well.

This toy is not nearly as cool as the commercials make it look. It's very hard to trigger the mouth to shut with the little toy golfballs that come with it. It was a Christmas present and went straight into the closet that day and has not come out in two months.

Bought for a great price, wish I had'nt. Paige loved the ball flipping back to her, but this toy is definitely listed as being appropriate for children too young to enjoy it properly. Has to be reset manually every time a ball is hit into the cup, makes for more work than play. I saw a motorized version of this, and assumed this was too. I would not buy this again for another child.

Purchased this for daughter for Christmas last year and she loves it. She is 5 and my son is 10. They both play it together which is nice. Seems to be holding up well. No complaints here.

Bought this for my 4yr old son for christmas and he loves it.Its pretty durable and I know this because I have three boys and they are pretty rough on toys and its still holding its own.I love to see my boys making up there own golf course like they have they own PGA Tour with the annoncer and the silence, etc and when the ball goes in the mouth of the gator and hits the tail and it pops the ball back out to you, thay go "CRAZY".

We had this game when it was green and rotated in a circle and thought it would be fun for an indoor golf game. I have to say that I was disappointed. If you don't hit the ball fairly hard into the gator's mouth, it will not pop back out to you. It is a good thing we only paid $10 for it because the kids don't even play with it now.

My husband golfs so my kids are always wanting to go golfing. My daughter asked for this game for Christmas and since we have a golfer in the family he insisted. I waited a long time for the price to go down on this and ordered it right before Christmas at 9.99 (then watched it go down to 7.99 then 4.99!!) I would never have paid full price for this because it is just out of my budget and kind of expensive. It only comes with 2 golf clubs and 2 golf balls which I wish it came with more. (I have 3 children) Some reviewers didn't like that the golf clubs were plastic. I was expecting a flimsy cheap plastic club when actually this is more durable than all the other play golf sets I have purchased. ( what do you want them to be made out of?) the golf balls are plastic too and not so light weight they dent or get smashed easily (3 kids and 4 pets, i am surprised we still have the 2 golf balls!). There are holes in the gator to hold the clubs in an upside down, upright position but they don't really work. I wish there was someway that you could store at least the golf balls. You do have to prop the mouth open every time but my 2 year old can even handle this so it is not a pain for me and the tail is very sensitive so we don't have any problems with the ball popping out. Over all I am pleased with this product. Good quality, sturdy, my kids have fun with it, and it does what it says so I gave it 5 stars.

My 7 and 4 year old boys enjoy the game quite a bit. My only complaint it that the putters are a little flimsy, other than that, it has brought hours of fun for my boys. Also great for hand-eye coordination. Makes a nice little intro to golfing. My 7 year old now wants to take golf lessons because he has enjoyed this so much. Defiantly worth buying!
