My grand-daughter was immediately taken with this Simon Trickster musical toy (just as her mother was with the original 30 some years ago) and loves testing her memory trying to reproduce the musical tones in perfect order. It's smaller than what I remembered of the original, but that doesn't harm the fun at all.

Great item being used for memory recovery. Helps chemo patients after treatments to retrieve memory skills which were damaged thru the chemo treatments.

I sometimes work with children who have difficulty focusing and competing tasks in their entirety. This game requires focusing. These skills then carry over into other areas. Great toy for strengthening focusing skills.

I bought this game for my son, who is 5, in hopes of increasing both his memory and focus and it's worked wonders. In addition to it helping him become a lot more focused, both my husband and myself, who had the same game when we were pre-teens in the 80s, can also enjoy it! This version comes with four games (including the original Simon pattern) which makes it even more fun and challenging!

I've always loved Simon, but this smaller version is great, easy to use and loads of fun. Good exercise in listening and watching!! Great toy!!!

I wanted this both because I loved the original Simon and thought it would be a good memory exerciser. I was concerned that it would be awkward to use because of its size but found it's actually comofortable and easier to transport. The only drawback for me is the sound. Instead of the original beep I find the new sound a little annoying but I'm getting used to it.

I always liked the original Simon game. This one is fantastic for traveling. You can easily fit it in a purse or bag. Great for keeping kids entertained on long drives, though use for prolonged periods can irritate drivers. I like this version because you can play Simon Classic, Rewind, Revenge, or Red. Keeps it interesting.

I always thought Simon was the most fun game I ever had! I had the original Simon nearly 30 years ago and I miss the FULL SIZE (12" diameter) version. But for kids who are already addicted to small hand held video games this is perfect. I bought this as a gift because I wanted to get something for a 7 year old that may actually make him think! I assume he is either going to love this (because it is so challenging) or hate it (because it has no "video"). I think it's really cool - you can sort of test it out without opening the packaging. Simon is more than a game, especially this one with four versions. It's a memory test, musical test, and spacial recognition test. Well worth the price and seems well made.

Bought this for my niece who is 6. She loves it. As good as the classic Simon, but with more new game options built in. I was concerned it was not going to be the game I loved as a child... but it was all that and more!

When I received the mini version of Simon trickster it did not work.

1. The lights were not very shiny and someone has dropped it or something. Had to throw it in the trash. So a bummer.
