A great idea from the creators of VideoNow. The availability of pre-recorded PVD is abysmal at best. Living in a small mid-western town I have always had trouble finding the PVD's anywhere but online. We do have a DVD player for the car, but when we go somewhere that requires waiting (the Doctor, Dentist, DMV, etc) the VideoNow is a lifesaver. Having the ability to make our own discs just makes it that much more versatile.

The good news is that you DO NOT need to cut down regular CD-R's as one reviewer suggested - the unit will burn standard "mini" CD's which are readily available in most electronics super-stores and online for next to nothing. You end up being able to make your PVD for under a buck.

I just purchased one of these to make PVDs for my 3-yr old daughter, and it's great! The software is easy to install and use. I was going to buy her a small personal CD player for XMas because she loves music, but this product basically doubles as a CD player because I can burn her a PVD full of the songs she loves!

The buyer who indicated that they had problems with the installation most likely didn't have updates installed for Windows or something...I initially got an error when I tried to install the software, but I was simply missing an updated version of one of the required files. I did also find on the Hasbro website a form to order additional blank PVDs for $1.50 each...not too bad in my opinion. I am going to order at least 10 more!!! The Media Wizard is terrific!!!

This is great! Instead of having to buy the discs for $10 each, now I can make four custom video discs for my kids for under $15. I had to do a little trial and error to figure out just how much video could fit on the disc (20 minutes) as it won't let you burn if you have too much. The instructions don't tell you this. I put some Thomas episodes on a disc and the kids fight over it now... :) As far as the person having problems with burning some discs, they probably have a bad CD burner, as I have had no problems. Well worth it!!!
