I absolutley love my penguin! He's so cute with his flapping flippers! I have him sitting on my desk at work where my friends stop by and play with him frequently. I am experiencing none of the problems previously reviewed. He rocks and flaps his wings consistently through songs and his lights flash in different colors in time with the music. He does respond to voices and other sounds as well.

Adorable, but it isn't great.,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Hasbro I-CY (Toy)
I just bought the I-CY last night (I prefer to call him the Penguin). I started playing with him right away. He's so adorable! However, though he may (in my opinion), be cuter then the I-Dog, he definitely doesn't perform as well as the Dog. One of the most noticeable differences between these two is the amount the Penguin moves compared to the Dog. While I-Dog is constantly shaking his head and dancing (or whatever he does), the Penguin only flapped his flippers a couple of times during a rather long song. I was greatly disappointed by this. I was looking forward to watching the Penguin flap his adorable little flippers while I played my music! Another thing that I noticed about the Penguin is that his lights don't seem to be accurate while they're flashing. With the I-Dog, his lights flash exactly to the beat, which is what makes him so cool. However, with the I-CY, his lights seem to be off the beat and a little random. What really caught my attention is that when I end the music, Penguin's lights continue to flash as if I never ended the music, and it isn't like he's begging for attention or anything (they don't blink yellow and orange, like he does when he wants attention). I know that he could be reacting to other sounds, but then why does he only do this after I play the music and not before as well? Perhaps mine is broken, or maybe they're all like this. I'm not saying that the Penguin isn't cool. He's absolutely adorable! But you'd be much better off buying the I-Dog instead of the I-CY, unless you're only buying it for its looks and not for its actual performance!

This is a fun toy that my daughter has gotten a lot of joy out of in only the first two days we've had it. Easy to operate, it puts out a fairly good quality sound and is much more interactive than we were expecting. Would highly recommend to anyone whose child under 13 has an iPod. Above that age it would be more of a novelty, but still would be a fun gift.
