Thundercracker Is Not Lame,
A Kid's Review
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Thundercracker - Transformers Cybertron Deluxe (Toy)
The Thundercracker toy has been getting a bad reputation, but there's really nothing wrong with him. His jet mode is a cool look, and unlike other people I think the robot mode is pretty nice looking as well. I needed a bad guy for my "good" transformers to fight, so I bought this Decepticon. I play with this bad boy every day and he has not broken ONCE. That is probably because I do not throw my toys at walls.
His only weak points are the flimsy rubber wings and missles. also, his HUGE cannon arm does not stay in place to well. His Earth Cyberkey power is basicly useless in robot form, since you can fire the missle even when the key hasn't opened it. In jet mode, it makes Thundercracker even more awesome since when the key is put in, the cannon pops out of the top of the jet and can even shoot VERTICALLY, a function which I think is so he can fly under other jets and blast them from underneath. In summary, Thundercracker is awesome. His Pros in Robot are: awesome poses and huge sword/cannon/shield. His Cons in Robot are: cannon arm is hard to stay in place. Pros in Jet: Awesome looking jet form, orange cockpit, cannon that pops out...etc, etc, etc. His Only con in Jet: flimsy plastic for missles and vertical wings. Despite contrary belief, Thundercracker is an awesome toy.

Thundercracker looks good in jet mode but loses a lot in the transition to robot mode. He's a skinny, gangly figure with almost non-existent feet and a missile launcher arm nearly longer than his whole body. Amazingly, though, he can actually stand without support if you spread his legs a bit. The plastic on him feels flimsy compared to other Cybertron figures, even the smaller Scout class ones. I bought him to complete the series, but any child looking for some hard play value from him could wind up with a broken toy if they're not careful.

First of I am an avid TRANSFORMERS fan since their debut in 1984, but I am not a rabid fan by any means. I di have a wife and a full time job.
THUNDERCRACKER was the first of the new CYBERTRON line that I purchased, and I was not impressed, like the last reviewer stated, this toy is flimsy and kinda weak. If I was a little kid I would be ticked because his shoulders always fall down if your moving his arms. He looks good on the shelf though, especially if you position his SHOCKBLAST size gun arm up like he's holding a sheild, displaying the DECEPTICON symbol. Although this figure disapointed me I returned to buy the rest of the Wave 1 Deluxe figures, HOT SHOT, LANDMINE, and DIRT BOSS. These figures are a vast improvement over poor THUNDERCRACKER, I'll review them at a later date. CYBERTRON THUNDERCRACKER, your grandfather was a great TRANSFORMER, you need to learn a thing or two.
