5.0 out of 5 stars Evac a Big Hit, July 5, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Transformers Cybertron Voyager Evac (Toy)
Evac was indeed a big hit with my grandson. As with all of the other toys in this line, it's well-made and durable. I highly recommend this toy. Amazon was just a little more expensive $[...], but I've ordered many items from them and can rely on their having it and fast mailing.

This Transformer turns from a colorful rescue helicopter into a 10 inch robot. The figure has plenty of artculation (over 16 points) so you can pose him an tons of great ways. The Cyber key opens up two side missle cannons and you can even push the rotor trigger to make the flexible helicopter blades spin.

Great figure and well designed copter. It even has a working rescue winch with a 6-8 inch long string. It is fully retractable, too.

If you have small children I do not recommend this figure. It is a helicopter with missles. But if the child is old enough to handle it, they should have hours of fun transforming him from Earth to Cybertron!

5.0 out of 5 stars evac the gardian of earth., December 21, 2005

evac is a great new transformer. the cybertron line has had alot of new forms for previous transformers. i.e optimus, red alert, megatron. evac definetly has a upper hand. his vehicle mode has a working rotor blade and a safty line that extends out about 3 inches. the cyber key unlocks flip around spring loaded missle launcher. transformation is a ok skill level. now to my favorite mode, robot. evacs robot mode is that of a model. meaning that he is highly detailed and poseable. overall evac is my favorite cybertron transformer so far. i know there will be more added to the line, but evac will be the best. keep a eye out for evacs partner crosswize.

The Autobot guardian of the Earth Cyber Key is Evac. A great toy with a lot packed into a medium sized transformer. His helicopter mode is pretty cool. It has a winch that lets down a hook and pulls it back up with the push of a button. A little peg can also be used to spin his blades. This mode is a very nice combination of a recue vehicle and a battle vehicle.
Transforming Evac is not too difficult, but it's harder than most other Cybertron transformers his size. Challenging, but not frustrating.
His robot mode is my favorite. Except for the helicopter blades that rest on his arms, and the winch on the other, you'd hardly guess he was ever a helicopter. His poseability is great, allowing for a wide range of movement and poses. His cyber key activates two rocket launchers of his back. Note: this also works in the vehicle mode.
Evac is an all around great toy. He has a fun vehicle mode, and a really cool robot mode. A great buy for his price.

5.0 out of 5 stars TF enthusiast, March 13, 2006

This review is from: Transformers Cybertron Voyager Evac (Toy)
More proof that the Cybertron series has been devised by someone who obviously loved the Transfromers as a child.

The Evac mold is incrediblely unique in the TF world. The transformation is intricate the rescue helicopter mode looks like a model of a rescue helicopter. The robot mode is statuesque and has a vast amount of articulation. The detail in the design is incredible. Included are flip out missile launchers, a working wench & the propeller rotates at the push of a button in both helicopter & robot mode.

For those of you inflicted with children: This is a great toy and will appeal to children, but the transformation is a bit complex. I'd save this one for the older children in the target range provided. Younger children with probably snap of something important with repeated use.

For Collectors: I highly recommend this figure because it truly is a masterful mold. Unlike usual helicopter to robot transformations the cockpit doesn't make up the torso, it becomes his feet (unlike the Cybertron Buzzsaw the rehash of the Energon Cyclonus). Also, in the nice change from the norm category, the propeller becomes and spinning shield and sword in robot mode unlike previous helicopter-style TFs that end up with the useless propeller backpack in robot mode. Great detailing & he looks great behind glass. Go now, buy it, go now, buy now.
