4.0 out of 5 stars A mean, green, destroying machine!
Ah, Bonecrusher! Such a short role in the movie, yet so iconing as to be one of the more memorable scenes: "rollerblading" amongst traffic and body-checking a bus into halves - I mean, that's got to stick! Bonecrusher is quite a nice deluxe figure that transforms relatively easily and without too much fuss into a robot that is arguably the least humanoid of all the deluxe...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but doesn't have an appropiate size!
In comparison with other Transformers toys, this one is very small. In the movie, fight between Optimus Prime and Bonecrusher looks espectacular, we see a large decepticon almost the same size like Optimus. But, in the toy version, it's very small...looks like a Bonecrusher Junior...

Ah, Bonecrusher! Such a short role in the movie, yet so iconing as to be one of the more memorable scenes: "rollerblading" amongst traffic and body-checking a bus into halves - I mean, that's got to stick! Bonecrusher is quite a nice deluxe figure that transforms relatively easily and without too much fuss into a robot that is arguably the least humanoid of all the deluxe figures (with perhaps the exception of Scorponok). With the arms pulled all the way out, he does appear quite fearsome, an effect added to by the animal-like head as well as the extra appendages on his back.

The actual spinning-blades device does cause some problems with this toy - the joint to the vehicle is the weakest link and unfortunately is prone to pop off. From observation, this looks like a joint that will wear quite quickly, and will more than likely be very loose after a few dislocations. Apart from this blemish, the rest of Bonecrusher appears quite durable, and should withstand some level of wear. The other major blemish is in the transformation into the vehicle - the way the legs lock onto the upper part of the vehicle body's rear is a little shaky, and prone to displacement.

Overall, Bonecrusher is a quite a good toy, but with some minor problems which make it slightly less recommendable than some of the other more well-put-together figures in the Deluxe class.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative and Different - worth the TEN bucks, February 24, 2008

First of all, $22?? I just grabbed this at Wal Mart for $10. 10 should be the price of most transformers that are in production, 20 for some larger ones (Rachet, etc.) and 40 for the humongous Optimus, not all this 20, 40, 70 stuff. Moving on...

I just picked up bonecrusher today with hesitation, since he looks kinda strange from the pictures I've seen. However I opened him up and was compelled by the original transformation. It's not that easy the first time, since there are a couple flaps to click open first. Once he's done he's one of the few transformers I've ever had to really feel like a truck, then feel like a robot, rather than feeling like a robot made out of a car. A lot of his robot parts are hidden within the truck mode, but by looking at the robot it's really hard to tell that it was once a truck. That feeling on top of an interesting and original transformation process, Bonecrusher makes a great toy.

I have not had it long enough to experience any durability issues.

My son was quite excited to recieve the transformer, however, I found that a couple of the parts tended to fall off if not properly secured. Even when secured, they would occasionally fall off. No worries, he dealt with this issue well. He's only 6, so dad had to help him transform the character. Once transformed, he had even more fun. I would have loved if the product was a little more quality orientated, like the originals from the good ol' days. One more transformer to add to the collection!

Bonecrusher is probably the best and most movie acurrate deluxe toy you can get from this movie line. He is fun, he has an easy transformation, and he has the same "Bonecrusher" sticker he had in the movie. The only real con is that he is increadibly undersized. If you were to get only five toys from this line, this would be one of them.

Thank you for the prompt delivery of this toy for my son. He is totally infatuated with the Transformers and this was a great price for this item, considering I didn't have to go a store, only to find the toy out of stock. I will definitely visit your site again.

OK, so Transformers are sometimes a little difficult to manipulate and a piece pops off that only dad can manage to get back on. BUT, when I compare that to the countless hours my son spends playing with them indoors and out, setting up battles with all the characters, joining them in with his Hot Wheels, Lego Blocks and Lionel Trains, providing dialogue as he directs the action, they offer tremendous play value. Since he got them at Christmas, his video game consoles including the Wii, have taken a big back seat to the kind of play I think is far more valuable. As for the exact likeness, my kid loves the cartoon and has no problem with the toys not being EXACTLY like those on the show.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, smaller Transformer, January 21, 2008

My almost-5-year-old just bought Bonecrusher with some of his Christmas money and on the first day he got it, the shovel/blade attachment popped off. After about 10-15 times of mom popping it back on only to come right back off, I told him he was just going to have to think of them as two separate toys because he was getting pretty sad about a broken toy! A few days later, he announced to me that that piece was actually Bonecrusher's "minicon"! What a great imagination and ability to roll with the indignities of poor construction.
This is his and my favorite Transformer we've seen/bought yet. It is small and yet has a pretty complicated Transformation process--he sat down and successfully Transformed it right away and hasn't had any difficulties, but is very engaged in the process. He is a VERY mechanical little guy so this works great for him, but I doubt I would be able to Transform it at all! Except for the one piece that won't stay on, there haven't been any other pieces come loose or pop off after nearly two weeks of very steady use. Overall, I think this is a good little Transformer to have for his age range.
