4.0 out of 5 stars Still Not A Car, But A Step Or Two Above "Energon"...
Ah, Arcee. One of the Transformer brand's most controversial characters. Despite her potential to be one of the Autobot's greatest warriors - as referenced in the Tech Specs of the five toys of her that exist (the 2001 Botcon exclusive, the Heroes of Cybertron minifigure, the Energon figure, the Scout-class Movie figure, and this one) - fan outcry prevented this fair...

3.0 out of 5 stars A motorcycle Transformer!
My first impression of Arcee was eager anticipation. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the motorcycle Autobot! That anticipation was not quite greeted with actual performance. In motorcycle mode, Arcee is simply awesome. However, one quickly finds out that it's difficult to figure out what to do with those motorcycle tires. She's relatively easy to transform, but...

Ah, Arcee. One of the Transformer brand's most controversial characters. Despite her potential to be one of the Autobot's greatest warriors - as referenced in the Tech Specs of the five toys of her that exist (the 2001 Botcon exclusive, the Heroes of Cybertron minifigure, the Energon figure, the Scout-class Movie figure, and this one) - fan outcry prevented this fair lady from making her live-action big-screen debut with the other Autobots this summer, getting her so far as the concept art stage. However, that planned design hasn't gone to waste: this movie-styled Arcee makes an appearance in IDW's Movie Prequel comic, and now, despite a mysteriously-blue retread of the Energon mold in the Scout class, we're finally getting a Deluxe-class Arcee figure from a totally new mold based on that unused character model.
Of the movie figures I own thus far - and that entails pretty much the entire robot cast - Arcee has proven to be one of the simplest to transform and most durable of the bunch. Her transformation actually isn't too much removed from her Energon counterpart - this one even has a component of the bike that pops off to become her weapon, which, again, here is a crossbow. Also, this version of the character has a lot more purplish-pink going on, making her color scheme a bit more consistent with her G1 namesake. About the only thing that's likely to make TF aficionados frown in bewilderment is Arcee's face - like all the other Movie TFs, she's got a kisser only her creator could love. Still, I doubt the TFs would have come to Earth looking for romance (at least in most cases). The bike mode isn't too shabby either, and in another feature that distinguishes this figure from the rest of the Deluxe size class, Arcee's alt-mode is about the right size for most 3 3/4" action figures - so Arcee's the perfect transportation when you need Scarlett to maneuver her way through HISS Tanks or if you finally want to see Aayla escape the Clone Troopers.
In the final analysis, I found Deluxe Movie Arcee to be one of the more enjoyable figures in the TF Movie line, and hopefully we'll get a chance to see her shine in a sequel.

This remake of an Autobot favourite was quite surprise for me! I wasn't actually aware that there was a movie deluxe Arcee until I saw it sitting there on a storeshelf - I picked it up straightaway and am in no way dissappointed.

Overall, the figure is very pleasing - the vehicle mode is excellent. I'm no motorcycle person, but I suspect the makers have essentially taken most design cues from Yamaha's YZF-R1, which is a beautiful bike in real-life, although Arcee's model number (RC 1300) suggests that she has an even bigger displacement than the R1's massive 998cc!

Perhaps the most impressive aspect in this figure is the way that they've managed to transform an obviously feminine robot into a very seamless vehicle. The rear-wheel splitting is an especially sweet part of the entire transformation, and the rest of the bits fold in very nicely together. The crossbow bolt fitting onto the side as the exhaust pipe and the little stand on the opposite side are a couple of very nice detail touches. A pity that the face could certainly have been done better.

All in all, Arcee is one of my favourites of the movie line-up toys, and certainly excellent value for money. Needless to say, I think this range is aimed less at children and more towards and adult audience, and as such is engineered for poseability and aesthetics rather than durability.

Arcee is one of the best!I have the ROTF Arcee as well and this version is the better of the two. This arcee is more close to how she is in the G1 series with a different vehicle mode and upgraded look.I like Arcee better with actual legs and feet personally for the robot mode over the wheels as feet in the ROTF version. This version is made better also with Arcee having great detail in motorcycle or robot mode. She has outstanding articulation in the legs, arms, chest, and an actual female looking head piece. The motorcycle mode has a dark pink color with a silver autobot symbol on the back. The RC 1100 on the side and stiletto heels are a nice touch as well..Arcee comes with a converting crossbow that has a firing projectile for taking out decepticons from a distance. The other thing that is great about this version compared to the ROTF version is that Arcee actually looks like a female. The poseability is awesome with very secure joints for battle poses or when you want to display this gem somewhere. The durability is excellent as well with Arcee being very solid all around to be able to handle any situation. The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you will probably have to help some in the process.Honestly Arcee is a very versatile transformer with a very managable transformation that can be learned with some practice.I love this version of Arcee as much as G1 version.Arcee has always been a favorite and it is awesome to see this female hero get a great figure for a new millenium.Bottom line Arcee is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 transformer all fans should treasure.I highly recommend Arcee to all transformer fans and collectors alike.Arcee Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!

This is the mold that should have been used for Acree in ROTF. The new figure is ok from what I have seen, but the 2007 Deluxe class is awesome. This figure has some of the best poseability I have seen from any figure. I like the head sculpt, makes her look alien and feminine at the same time. I like the stilletto/boot look of her lower legs. Transformation is really easy, and actully fun. Her bow weapon seems very approriate for the character, although it does like to pop off her arm. The dark purple color is very nice. Like I said earlier, very poseable. Very awesome figure, I highely reccomend her.

This is probably the only female deluxe transformer from the movie. She did not appear in the movie, because the director said it would take too long to explain about female transformers.
Arcee turns into a motorcycle. She is the smallest deluxe figure, but is taller than most. Her crossbow is hard to fit on to her arm, so you have to press hard for a while for it to stay on.

In motorcycle mode, Arcee is simply awesome. However, one quickly finds out that it's difficult to figure out what to do with those motorcycle tires. She's relatively easy to transform, but she doesn't pose very well in robot mode. I do, however, have to say that she has one of the coolest weapons of all of the transformers. Also, pieces don't break off, which is definitely a plus. Watch for price gouging. This one usually retails for around $10.

Well, it is a nicely designed motorcycle. The fact that the backwards wheel splits in half and still works as a wheel is just amazing. Great engineering.

It is also a nice and pretty femenine robot. I bought one for me, but it was quickly adopted by my 4 years old daughter, so i had to buy another one for the shelf...

I'd love to see her with a softer face. The face they'd put on her is too robotic for my taste (just to fit the designs of the movie). Anyways, it is a nice robotic toy, one of the few female bots you'll ever find.

My daughter asked for a "girl transformer" for her 4th birthday (and a pink fishing pole). It took me some effort to find this, but she was really happy to have her OWN Transformer (she has a 6 year old brother). She isn't able to transform it herself, but she loves it just the same. The joints are made to pop apart, rather than break, which is great. The only thing I really dislike is that if you lose the crossbow, your motorcycle no longer has a seat. The projectile is just the tailpipe and not critical, but the seat helps hold the motorcycle together. So far, we've had it a month and still have all the parts.

My grandson had requested this toy for his first visit to our new home in Illinois. We couldn't find it in stores but it was on Amazon. He has played with it non-stop since we gave it to him. I don't understand Transformers but he loves them. He will be 5 in a few weeks.

This is a good transformer...but not great.
Nor is it the one from the movie. Get the other version of Arcee with the wheels as feet.
Surprisingly VERY good is the "fast action" version as it is great as a toy and easier to transform.
Look good and is truer to the movie.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
