This transformer is a remold of Starscream. Thundercracker is very complicated to transform and it took a while to memorize how to do it. His missiles launch too easily and constantly fire while transforming. This is probably because rotating the barrel will fire the missiles. I find it funny how he has "bird feet" which helps his posing. He has a very obvious automorphing feature, pushing up his cockpit moves his whole wing section into his body, exposing the gray part of his chest.

Thundercracker is back with a sweet upgrade!I actually have all 4 of these figures including Starscream,Skywarp, and Ramjet.Thundercracker is a sweet addition to his comrades. The detail of still keeping the G1 influence on this figure is outstanding. The durability and poseability is an A+.The transformation is advanced so if you have plenty of experience with transformers it is not that difficult. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you will have to provide some help with the transformation process.Thundercracker has the same body mold and vechicle form as the other three as well.He has 6 missiles that can attach to his arm cannons in robot mode and go under the wings in F-22 Raptor mode.Bottom line Thundercracker is a high quality,well-made,10 out of 10 figure which all transformer fans should enjoy.I highly recommend Thundercracker to all transformer fans out there.Transformers Rock!!!!!!!!!!!!

thunder cracker kicks butt even if he does'nt have hands,in the movie version he has claws. One thing about this item if he had removable cannon silos that could be replaced with movable claws it would have been perfect.I like his glowing eyes and mouth ,very menacing. Its nice to have all three original seekers.Too bad he was'nt in the movie, the autobots would have been destroyed by three raptors.Optimus needs bigger autobots to defend against a triple seeker threat.Anyway for nostalgia thundercracker is a very nice piece..

Thundercracker may be a repaint of Starscream with a differant head, but he's actually pretty cool. I like this gray/purple coloring better than the tan that they gave Starscream.
Pros: -The coloring is better than that of Starscream. -He has six missles (It's not that bad when one is lost, right? He already has six.) -I like the jack-o-lantern face and outlandish head shape. -The shift-cockpit-up-to-get-body-shape is pretty cool. -Outlandish feet allow a wide range of poses. Cons: -He has six missles. They're extremely hard to keep track of. -When posing him, playing with him or transforming him his missles keep firing. -In jet mode he is excessively bulky and could have been designed better. -Head isn't hidden well in jet mode -He has no hands Overall he's a pretty good figure with a few minor faults.

Just casually looking around to see what kinds of Transformers Wal-mart had that day I let out a chuckle as I spotted Thundercracker. My cousin has Starscream and let me mess around with it for a while so I was pleased to pick up a jet of the same model but one that, in my opinion, looks so much cooler.
The automorph for this model jet is one of the smoothest of all the movie line so far, even though Thundercracker wasn't in it. And the missile release is just as jumpy and hair triggered as ever but that doesn't bother me. Some people have had beef about this jet design because of the way the head is hidden away, or not. Again it doesn't bother me because during the transformation process I just turn it aorund so that the face is covered by the feet and all you see is the back of the head. Simple. Because of the sort of "chicken leg" design of his legs they are very poseable. I've never had a problem standing him up in a variety of poses. I tend to lean toward his robot mode more than his alt mode but they're both very cool. A lot of collectors have commented on how the jet mdoe is very bulky and not all that well hidden. Once again, this is not a problem for me since I keep him in robot mode most of the time. Maybe if we were given a leader class Starscream things would be different. Oh well. As for the rear fins that end up on either side of his head. I find nothign wrong with them. What I think is interesting is that everyone that I've seen who ones one form of this jet has his/her own way of positioning them. Which I think adds a unique and individual character to everyone's Transformer. Its just great. Overall, this is an excellent addition to my collection and I'll deffinatley be going for the Starscream repaint. Anyone who is consdiering this item you may be at ease. It is very much worth it.

I am a huge fan of repaints. I wish they would make some more repaints seeker jets. It would be very cool to have six jets available. I own all three movie voyager jets. The G1 Starscream repaint is still my favorite.
If you remember back in 1984-85 all the seeker jets were just repaints. Overall the quality of the toy is excellent. The right foot was kind of loose when I took him out of the box. Hasbro doesn't play around with the packaging because it took me over 20 minutes to get him out of the box. I do try keep the boxes in mint condition. With all my Transformers I transform them into robots and display them on my shelf. They never get played with. The coolest thing is that Thundercracker hates Starscream. Remember in the cartoon when they never got along. Starscream always made thundercracker do all the pointless never-ending tasks. Over-all I give it 9 out of 10.

I bought this Transformer for my son because he included it on his Christmas List. He was very happy to find it under the tree on Christmas morning. He received many toys but Thundercracker was the first one to come out of its box.

I'm not necessarily against repaints. In fact, I love the fact that Hasbro has introduced repaints in order to get the Decepticon airfleet up to snuff. However, I'm not much of a fan of this particular repaint. The transformation is actually pretty cool. The robot looks extremely wicked, but I have had a hard time with missiles flying off in every direction as part of the transformation process. That is where this product is lacking. Also, beware of price gouging. I purchased this item at Target for about [...].

Bought this toy for my 6 yr old son for Christmas present. He loves it. It took a little while for him to transform it, but otherwise he seems happy with it and playing with it all the time along with his other Transformers. It's enjoyable to see him role playing.
