5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun for the Wolverine fan!
my son just got this for his 6th birthday and loves them. I say THEM b/c we had to buy TWO of them...that is my only complaint..it is packaged with ONE claw and wolverine has TWO. so of course my son wanted two of them. I got them for $22 at toys r us. each takes 2 AAA batteries. makes electronic slashing noises when you swing them around and the claws come out easily...

3.0 out of 5 stars the claw
this was a gift for a six year old boy and he loved it. after he opened this all the other gifts got pushed to the side. he played with it the rest of christmas day. I worried about the safety of the toy for accidental injury. Fun toy but would be cautious of the age of the child.

my son just got this for his 6th birthday and loves them. I say THEM b/c we had to buy TWO of them...that is my only complaint..it is packaged with ONE claw and wolverine has TWO. so of course my son wanted two of them. I got them for $22 at toys r us. each takes 2 AAA batteries. makes electronic slashing noises when you swing them around and the claws come out easily with the flip of the wrist and my son gently pushes them on the ground or couch to push back in. the claws are rounded and larger around than I expected so he is not hurting anyone or anything (yet, lol!). His hand fits under the black part and it has adjustable velcro underneath and a handle to hold onto so virtually anyone can use it, no matter their size.
the claws do stick once in awhile coming out if he doesn't do it just right, but he really doesn't care at all. overall a super toy and we would purchase again!

This toy would be perfect except for the description states gloves and there is only 1 glove per package. This was very disappointing to myself and my son.

One of them broke. The strap came unstitched after 40 days. My kids love these, but you might want to consider purchasing from somewhere with a 90 day return policy, otherwise you may ending up dealing with the manufacturer. Having said that, I will tell you that they are super cool, and my boys all love them. They are big, there is only one per box, which makes them expensive, and they require batteries. They work okay for my 3-7 year olds. They are easy to use, and pretty good quality, compared to my other kids toys like GI Joe and Transformers. I would also say they are no more dangerous than a plastic sword. I haven't been worried about them hurting each other with them.

My son received one of these for his birthday (in January) and the following December he still played with it enough that he wanted a second one so he'd have a "set". It's been a good enough toy that I went ahead and got it for him, and I have no regrets. It's decently made and fun enough.

4.0 out of 5 stars Must have for Wolverine fan, May 10, 2011

Bought 2 of these at Walmart for $20.00/each for a 4 1/2 yr old for Christmas. Was a little concerned about the extension of claws, but they are rounded at the end and not sharp at all. One thing to note is that the extension of the claw is triggered with a forcefull flick of the wrist and arm instead of a button device. My son could do it fairly easily, but occassionally the claws don't come all the way out and pushing them back in results in some "stickage". Overall, he loves them and they are very sturdy and will last a long time. Pricey, but worth the look on his face when he becomes Wolverine.

I purchased this toy for my son and he absolutely LOVES it!!! He's 4 years old and he's been battling with them non stop. They make sounds when you hit them on things, which is a great feature for little kids!
For just being a FUN toy, this is great!

I love this toy. It is great to play around with and is especially so if you have two.My only complaint is that the claws themselves don't always retract properly, meaning I would have to bash them down manually to get them back in.Other than that,it's a great toy and would make a great gift to someone at least 13(little kids would DEFINITELY break this in one day)!
