It's a great family night game.

The only thing I didn't like is that I wish it was a little more durable, the box and holders are a little flimsy.

What a great game! finally something we can all play as family without one of us getting bored! The kids learn new words and my husband and I can practice our drawing skills. We all love to play DrawSomething on our phones, now we can all play it at the dinner table. This game is certainly at the top of my holiday gift list!

So you know the app is fun, but the board game spin on it is pretty darn fun as well. It's different from those other drawing and guessing games based both on the fact that it's somewhat collaborative and definitely based on the word selection. For older players - it's a lot of shouting and hilarity. It's easy and funny. But it's totally open to younger players or as a family game as well. You can feel great about getting the kids to draw and step away from their various screens or about spending time with friends and family and just having fun. The packaging is very nice as well.

This is a fantastic game that is a ton of fun for people of all ages. It's not your average board game experience. I'm in my 20s, and typically I'm not big on board games. Honestly, I'd feel a bit embarrassed bringing out a board game at a party. Draw Something is not one of those games by any means. Everybody knows and loves Draw Something from the mobile game. Who wouldn't want to have that same experience with your friends, but in person?

I play this with my young nephew and niece, but I also play it with my friends while enjoying a few drinks. I'll make it clear: this is not Monopoly. This is an incredibly social game that will bring you and your friends and family CLOSER together (not make you enemies like Monopoly). This is THE party game. It is the most fun you can have while actually bonding with your friends and honing your art skills at the same time. I highly recommend picking this up. You will have a lot of laughs. It would make a perfect gift for anyone, because honestly, who hasn't played the original Draw Something?

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
An earlier review summed up most of views about the Draw Something Game.

Pros
1. Very basic and super easy to teach. It's about the most basic drawing game I've seen
2. Easy to play with kids who can already read

Cons
1. The packaging is a joke. There's no way to store the game. As the other reviewer pointed out, it makes the game feel "disposable" and even the creators didn't put much value in it.
2. Quite simply, there are better drawing games. While others might point to Pictionary (I've never played it), the two I know of that I think are better are Telestrations and a more obscure game called Tadaaam! Tadaaam! has you play in teams with each person having to draw one half of an image without seeing the other person's work. Both Telestrations and Tadaaam! have a real party game feel to them and bring out a lot of laughs. This one, not so much.

It does indeed feel like they were just trying to piggyback on a popular smart phone app.

Great game for the whole family to interact!! You don't have to be an artist to enjoy this game- in fact, the worst drawers are the most fun! We love games that our whole family can play (10, 7 yr old girls), and this one fits the bill! This is going to be on my Christmas list for our nieces and nephews, too! Great game night addition!

This game was played just once. It was fun enough, but there are better drawing games out there.

First, I want to tell you about the packaging. It's awful. While it's cute that it comes in the shape of a pencil, it's bulky, difficult to store, and basically the box has to be disassembled for you to open it. That means it doesn't store neatly afterward.

The game play is okay, not great. We have Pictionary, Pictionary Junior, and Win, Lose or Draw, all of which are more fun than this game. Did we have some fun? I guess. Are we eager to play it again? Not at all.

The final verdict is that if the company doesn't think this game is even worth putting in a decent box, it's not really worth your money. It's just a cheap attempt to make money on a popular online social game you can play for free, so why bother? I wouldn't.

Sadly, this board game version is less fun than the app. The pads are too small, and to have several ppl crowding around a post-it-note-sized pad trying to guess the word is no fun. The energy is not there, the fun is not there, it mimics the app exactly but the spirit of the game is lost somehow. don't waste your money. this is one example of a game that should stay in the digital realm.

For years now app makers have been taking your favorite childhood games and turning them into apps. Welp, Hasbro has had enough of that and has decided to turn the tables on them. Now your favorite adulthood apps have been turned into good old fashioned board games. Take that app designers!

No, really. The Draw Something app that is so popular amongst your co-workers, it is now a board game. Packaged in a giant pencil box (odd as the writing utensils it arrives with are crayons) you get enough of what you need for up to four people to play (coin tracker clips, crayons, draw stations, and paper pads) in addition to that you get 180 word cards and a game guide.

Appropriate for the whole family (unless you have some of THOSE types of adults -- you know the ones). Great for people who want to practice their drawing skills, encourage the kiddies to be creative, or just get the family away from the electronics (what better way to trick them into a family fun night than by using a board game of their favorite app?).

The official site doesn't list replacement parts for sale which is no big deal for crayons but could be for the game pads so if you're a prolific arteest you'll have to find the right sized paper pads or make your own.
