Portable Battleship is a scaled down version of the regular game, where all of the pieces are just somewhat smaller.

The game is just as fun as I remember from my childhood. The general game play revoles around both players placing thier "fleet" on a 10 x 10 grid and then taking turns bombarding the other players fleet, attempting to find and sink all of their ships.

The pegs still fall all over the place if you bump the bins hard enough, which makes it important to still play on a stable surface. It would have been good if this problem could have been resolved for the travel version.

All in all a good "old school", no batteries required, enjoyable game. Recommended!

I bought this for my husband for Christmas last year. He'd told me that he loved Battleship as a kid, and I wanted to find it for him. All of the Battleship games at Wal-Mart and Target were a new version that neither of us liked. I looked for the original game online, but it was really expensive. Then I found this little travel size Battleship!

It's quite a bit smaller than I was expecting. The only thing that is bad about the travel size is that the pegs are really small! It's hard to grab hold of them, so we usually just dump the pegs on the table so they're easier to pick up. Sometimes the pegs fall out of the top if they're not in well enough.

Going back, I'd still buy this version. Even though there are a few "quirks", it's better (in my opinion) than spending the money for the full-sized version.

A tacky, poorly made plastic toy that is completetly useless. The coordiantes are stamped into the plastic and barely visible, so trying to play this game is a struggle. The pegs are tiny and easily lost. I don't want to spend more money to return it, so it will go into the garbabe.

enjoyed by 7 year old playing with teenagers and adults--provides real educational value in concentration and learning maneuvering skill--fun too for the competitive player.

I didn't realize this was the travel size battle ship, which means, the pegs are to small to use. Product is practically unuseable. It is all so unbelievably tiny. It was my fault for purchasing in a hurry. But even if you know this is travel size- I don't think you'd find game very useful, with pieces so small adult fingers can't pick them up, and kids won't have the patience or dexterity to play with either. Buy regular size- It's compact enough!

This game is small,compact and has lots of compartments for storing the ships and pegs. The pegs fit in easily, but if it gets bumped while you are playing the pegs are not tight enough and will fall out. It is great for playing Battleship in small spaces.

Great game. The only trouble is it is for little hands. Pegs are hard to place for anyone with larger hands. Would be better if game board and pegs were a little larger.

As the title reflects, this product makes Battleship very hard to play. The pegs are impossible to put in so that they don't fall out easily, so if you want to play in a car, on a bus, or anything moving you might have some difficulty. It's also quite frustrating if your fingers are big like mine, as the little pegs are hard to pick up.

The product was delivered on time, but I was disappointed with the dimensions and quality of the product. If you're patient and just need something portable to pass the time, this product is alright.

I know this is a travel game, but I don't even want to know what it would be like if my kids tried to play this in the car. The pieces are too small and it is the poorest build quality. I don't know how MB would even put their name on this thing. Spend the money and get the full sized game. It's small enough to travel with.

Not the greatest travel version I've ever seen. We have the full size and the travel version. Obviously the full version is much better but I've also seen better travel versions of products.
