4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but...
My family enjoys this game, but I took off one star because a family edition should be truly family friendly - and that doesn't include having to explain off-color movie references or celebrity gossip to younger kids. We've had to pull a number of the adult cards to avoid age-inappropriate questions.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but very few cards!
This game was very fun at first. But if you play it more than about 5 times, you will start getting repeat questions VERY SOON, and then before you know it, no matter how many cards you skip to get a question you haven't had, yet...you will not find one!

This version of Trivial Pursuit has two sets of cards: one for kids, and one for adults. My kids are 6 and 8 years old. We played this game while their 12- and 15-year-old cousins were in town, and the team of four kids beat a team of four adults. My kids also love to play it without their older cousins, though we have to give them lots of hints to even things out. I'd guess that most kids need to be about 9 or 10 years old to really play independently. Still, we love it!

I have the old Trivial Pursuit Family edition and like it so much I wanted to get the new version with some new questions. What I found was a lot of the same questions and much fewer cards. Rather disappointing. But the game is still lots of fun and we always learn something, and you can actually answer a lot of these questions without being a full-fledged genius.

This is a great classic game and we have enjoyed many hours playing it in the first few weeks. A little disappointed that it came with so few cards. My old classic set had loads more question cards - perhaps 4 or 5 times more. So even in our first three games, several questions came up that had been asked earlier.

This is a very educational game. The adult questions seem to me to be more difficult than my old original Trivial Pursuit game.I guess because they are updated and I am not familiar with things like the singing group Nirvana, or who A-rod is but the kids questions are good for kids from about 7 ( how many buttons hold up Mickey Mouse's pants) to about 14 (what American state was named for a French monarch?). It is very educational. Our 9 year old Granddaughter is learning a lot and how to think thru an answer. Yesterday she beat me. We love it!

I've always been a fan of Trivial Pursuit, and over the summer, I tried finding a version that our whole family could play, including my children who are 7 and 10. I could not find what I was looking for in any store, so I turned to Amazon and found this game. It's perfect! It's the basic Trivial Pursuit I loved so much, with questions for adults and children. No worries about DVDs or needing specific knowledge of a certain genre, just your basic game and questions. We've bought so many family board games in the past that wind up shoved under a bed or into a closet, never to see the light of day again. This one will definitely stay within reach!

Arrived in one piece, in excellent condition, and I actually won a game. (Using the kids' cards but that's neither here nor there)

I love that this is a trivia game that my 10 year old and I can play together. The only problem that we have run into is that there doesn't seem to be enough kids questions. We find ourselves saying "wait-you've had that one", often.

I have owned a copy of Trivial Pursuit Kids edition for a while, and played it with my son who is now 12. It was getting frustrating. The questions were too easy for me, and I would regularly win. We tried to even it up by creating a handicap, where I would have to answer each wedge question twice before earning the wedge, but that got old.

When I learned there was an edition that had different cards for kids & adults, I got it and gave it to him for his birthday. We've played it twice and both love it. It's a great way for a parent and a kid to play the game together and have it be pretty evenly matched.

Plus we both learn a few facts along the way.

I highly recommend it!
