This is, in fact, an anti-nerf hoop. The whole point of having a nerf hoop is the simplicity and safety of it. But this toy takes many batteries, some in the hoop and some in...the BALL! I mean, what is the POINT of a Nerf ball that weighs two pounds? It breaks things and/or can hurt if it's thrown too hard. It lands with a loud "thump" and I have to yell not to throw it at the walls. And what is the point of a basketball that doesn't bounce? It hits the floor with a "thud" and stays there. Okay, it's cool that it lights up, but big deal unless you're playing after bedtime. I wish I had bought one of the flimsy rings that you can suction-cup to a door, and a soft, squishy ball that you could bounce off your sister's head. I wish Amazon SOLD them! I wish Nerf still MADE them! This is an over-developed toy that doesn't give my kid half the pleasure that it could. (And don't get me started on how hard you have to push to turn the light on in the ball, or what a pain it is to open the battey compartment.)

i did not like this becuase, first, when you try to shoot the ball, it breaks the net. ( it keeps folding it down). I got bored of it because the ball is heavy and somtimes, teh whole thig falls off your door. Even thought it lights up adn looks cool, trust me, i wouldnt buy this.

This hoop is tight, but wene you shoot it makes a ton of noise. If your planing on buying this be aware of a lot noise. Also the hoop, and the net sometimes come off.

Hi, this hoop is very good for rainy days and for kids that like to dunk but are too small to dunk on a regular hoop. It is very easy to put together. All you have to do is snap the rim in...and put the net on...put it on your door... and there you go. The one bad thing is, the net sometimes falls off, but it's no big deal.

I don't like this hoop very much because the ball is too heavy. Due to the weight of the ball when throwing it, the rim will usuallly snap down just about every time. I got it for my office but with the ball being more bulky than a regular nerf ball it is very loud when it hits the backboard or your door. So instead of buying a new nerf set, I just bought a soft foam ball, so I can actually make a shot and the whole office won't know I'm shooting hoops behind closed doors.

My 10 year old son got this for his birthday. The screws are so deep inside the ball, we finally got so frustrated we just ripped off the foam covering the battery holder to be able to see where to place the screwdriver to get the screws out. (The ball won't bounce anyway!) Even then, the screws would not come out! The lightup goal is great, but the ball is ridiculous. Use your old nerf balls and then it's okay.

HELLO, I HAVE THE NERF NITE JAM HOOP PERSONALLY, AFTER READING THE OTHER REVEIWS I BEG TO DIFFER. I THINK THAT TOY IS VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY DURABLE. THE ONLY SMALL COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT WHEN YOU TRY TO LIGHT THE BALL UP, IT IS HARD TO PRESS IN BUT YOU CAN GET YOUR DAD TO DO IT OR SOMEONE OLDER AND STRONGER THAN YOU. OVER ALL, I THINK THIS TOY IS AWESOME AND YOU SHOUD GIT IT! THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME IN READING MY REVEIW. TANK YOU AGAIN.

Nerf needs to bring back the good old-fashioned sturdy nerf hoops. Nite Jam Nerfoop is a cool idea, but terribly made. The ball is so heavy that if you hit the rim, the rim collapses because it is break-away. What's the point if you have to snap the rim back in place after every shot? Nerf should recall the ball, and send everybody a lighter ball; but even still, the rim will collapse everytime it is dunked on. I was very disappointed with this product, [...]

Purchased it as a fun blow off steam toy in the office. Did not realize that Nerf made hard balls. This ball weighs a too much. Not only can it hurt someone but it actually broke the hoop off its backboard. The 4 plastic pegs that attach the hoop to the backboard broke off in the first week. Very disappointing.

The glowing hoop fun for all ages but the ball is all wrong.
