Wow! I was amazed when I opened the box to see a 1 foot 3 inch tall potato pirate staring right at me... YIKES! Inside the giant plastic potato is 2 regular potato heads (bodies?) and 2 small potato heads with 4 pairs of eyes, 2 noses, 1 beak, 1 moustache, 4 ears, 3 mouths, 8 arms, 2 pairs of shoes, 1 parrot, 1 sword, 1 pirate hat, 1 eyepatch, 1 pirate earring, 1 hook, 1 pair of boots, 1 wand, 1 crown, 1 tail, 1 shell waistband, 1 sea horse, 1 pair of earrings, 1 soft bandana, 1 feather. I believe I saw this in the item description but admit I didn't pay much attention to the details... I was pleasantly surprised and think others may like this "version" of Mr. Potato Head. For the price this tater rocks! (And has more to offer than some other potato head products). This toy is rated Age 2+

When i opened the box i couldn't believe it! All of the parts are contained in a huge orange clear potato head....love this would definitely recommend buying for some lucky kid!

My kids LOVE this toy! There are so many different pieces that allow them to make just about any combination. I highly recommend!

I bought this for my 2-year old for her birthday. She has other potato heads and this one is a little harder for her to operate than some of the others. Some of the pieces require adult help to get things hooked on, but I think in time it will help her develop better fine motor skills. The canister shaped like a potatoe head pirate is absolutely HUGE and fun! Overall, this is a fun additional to the tato-head collection at our house and a really great value.

I bought this for my nephew for Christmas, and I must admit that when I opened the box and saw how HUGE the container was, and how many pieces were in it, I was tempted to keep it for my own kids!!! A great classic with a modern twist. My nephew loves pirates, so this is lots of fun for him and is something that does not require batteries! Plus, it teaches him parts of the body, etc. A nice gift at a nice price.

I was surprised at how large the Mr Potato-head was and how many parts it had. There are actually several Poatato-heads in this one package. My 2 1/2 year old nephew was thrilled. It arrived promptly and was reasonably priced. I have no complaints!

I bought this on a whim when my daughter was about 6 months old, thinking it would be great when she got older. We broke it open when she was about 16 months old, and it's been a winner ever since (she's about to turn 2). Also, when family & friends with older kids come to visit, they love it too.
So many combinations, great pieces..and of course, the pieces are all interchangeable with other Potato Head kits.
It is terrific for small motor control and eye-hand coordination for the toddler set, and stimulates creativity and pretend play in the older kids. We've had the most original creations from the Potato Heads, plus epic pirate battles with the older kids.
Plus, it's something parents can play with, with their children, and actually enjoy!

My 3 year old son howled with laughter once he started playing with this set. What amuses him is the incogruity - he likes to put the eyes and mouth from the big pirate container (mouth, mustache, nose, eyes, and ears are detachable) on the smaller bodies. The downside of having several sizes is that the bases for medium bodies don't work well for the small ones, and vice versa - they're simply not stable enough. Also, I foresee the pink hair piece losing 'hair' fast. Nonetheless, this was a fantastic gift and I highly recommend it.
