This item is very cute, but if you check at Toys R Us it sells for 14.95.
I paid well over 45.00 for it. Way overpriced.

My son was in love at first sight!, December 27, 2009

Every morning, this is the first toy that my son goes for. He absolutely LOVES "helping" mommy vacuum. Such a cute toy and my son hardly puts it down! He is almost 20 months old and is so cute with it. My ONLY problem with it is that it doesnt recline easily for my son. you have to sort of push the floor part so the handle comes apart from it, so much of the time, its running at an angle on its wheels and doesnt actually run across the floor. This doesn't change my sons entertainment by it though at all! LOL

Unexpectedly Fun for My Toddler, December 13, 2011

I would not have chosen this toy for my 15 month old son but he received it as a gift so Mom and I gave it a fair shake. My son has played with it from ~18 months to 26 months old now. It is not his favorite toy in general but he likes to play with it while an adult is vacuuming. This is very useful since he insists on helping with chores (we need to get him a broom and dust pan in his size!). *Note: This is not a walker and would not be safe for toddlers who are not sure on their feet yet. Recommended age of 2+ is probably to account for that.
This toy vacuum can be pushed forwards and backwards. It produces a low volume vacuuming sound as it is pushed around and a clown-like voice rotates through statements like "Nobody cleans better than we do". The eyes shift left and right and the canister contents (colorful yarn) rotate while it moves as well. The head is hinged to the upper part like a normal canister vacuum but my son doesn't remember to put it down on the ground.
Pros:
Allows a toddler to help with chores but not be in the way.
Makes for cute pictures and video.
Vibrant colors.
The faces and voice are not annoying or creepy.
The volume is acceptable.
On/Off switch!
Seems sturdy but my son has been relatively gentle with it.
Cons:
Very limited playtime compared to other toys after the first day.
I rate this 4/5 stars because it is a good sub $20 toy but I found the play time value to be too limited.
