My 2yr old son sure doesn't care that the keys are only molded... he loves using the 'scratcher' and loves the music. It takes quite a beating and hasn't broken yet! Also, the multi colored stars helps him with colors (he loves to show us the "yel-woh, wed, and boo stars" lol). While an adult may think it is a bit tacky, any child that likes music is going to like it either way.

Purchased this last Christmas for my nephew who is now 1 1/2 years old and it's lasted an entire year and has plenty of life still left in it.
I personally thought it was a keyboard as well upon purchase, but it was still a great bang for the buck. The toy lights up, and is very colorful and the music is very audible and doesn't phase in and out like other toys I've purchased. My only complaint is that it seems a little too sensitive to touch at times and it'll randomly go off and won't turn off. I wonder if it's posessed at times, but my nephew likes it..

Okay music toy at cheap price (got on sale for about $5-6); but it's not a keyboard. Looks like one, but it just plays prerecorded music when the child's fingers get near the area that looks like keys - they don't really work.

Well even though you can't push the keys it seems to keep thier interest with the music. Although when it arrived it was very scratched up and the packaging to prevent damage was not that great one air bubble on the top of the thing in the box that was it. Oh well, kids will probably scratch it up even more so over all it's an ok item I only got it for 3 dollars too!

Got this super-cheap for my 9-month-old, so it was worth the risk for a toy I'd never seen before. Note that the keys do not work, they're just decoration I guess. Sounds and music come from activating the two buttons or the "scratch" sounds wheel, or breaking the infrared beam just over the nonfunctional keys. My baby likes it, finds the lights and sounds interesting, and likes making it make noise. Don't know what the long-term appeal will be; wish the keys worked; but for a noisy toy it's not very annoying--there are many worse on the market.

I bought this toy as a present for my 15 month old nephew. I had to sneak it away from my 2 year old to wrap though, he loved it!! My nephew really enjoyed it as well, and had a lot of fun with it. The big downfall- this is a noisy toy with no on/off switch!! I hate putting toys in the toy box and having them all start going off, so I usually turn the toys off as I'm putting them away. No such luck here!! It is a great toy and really is a fun one for the younger kids, though!

The buttons are fixed on this toy, however it took me a few minutes to realize there are sensors near the keyboard that when you go to touch the keyboard, it is like you are playing one. This product was purchased for a toddler, who had a good time playing with it, as well as a couple of older children. I got this relatively cheap, and am pleased with the purchase, however I would not pay full price for this product.

for $3 i can't complain. The only bad thing is that the keyboard keys aren't button. Good for a 2 year old or so
