Adorable fun,

This review is from: Hasbro Playskool Weebles Weebalot Castle (Toy)
We bought my 18m daughter this for a Christmas present this year and she loves it. Out of all the toys she got this year, this one seems to be the one she enjoys the most. She loves to push the weebles down the slide and around all the different parts of the castle. The part she has the most fun with is the moat. There is a button on the bridge in the back of the castle that makes the moat spin.
I have 2 tiny issues with this toy (and why it only got a 4 instead of a 5). The spinning of the moat makes my daughter want to put EVERYTHING on it to spin. Its perfectly safe and nothing spins off, but not all the items/furniture that came with the castle can FIT in the moat well and I keep having to pull the horse and table out so it doesn't jam the moat. Second is that the furnature does not all fit on/in the castle. The table doesn't stay well and if you have the table in, the weeble bed can't really be in it. I would suppose that you could play with the furniture outside the castle (and maybe my daughter will when she's a bit older) but it makes keeping the items together a little harder. I fully expect one or several of the furniture pieces to end up buried somewhere else in the house. The toy is adorable and fun but I would prefer the furniture fit and maybe snap into the castle.

I bought this for my 22 month old son as a follow up to last year's Weeble's Tree House. He loves the tree house and now, he also loves the castle too. Pieces snap together securely and the unit seems sturdy. One feature that I particularly like about the castle is that it has an on-off switch underneath (the tree house does not).

This toy has been a success at our house. We have a 3 year old and a 1.5 year old. They both play with this toy and, of the Christmas presents, this is the most popular. There is a bridge and a staircase attached to the front and back respectively that fall off easily, but it isn't a big deal. They particularly seem to like the moat and spinning dance floor which is what makes this toy better than the Goldilocks Cottage (or something like that, not sure if I got the Weeble name right). All around good toy!

This is a great toy I remember playing with weebles when I was a kid so it's great that my daughter will get to play with the same thing. Although these weebles are upgraded from back in the day. But the music is great. My daughter loves the moat the moves around the castle she throws all her toys in there and likes to watch them go 'round and round.

Not as sturdy as treehouse,

My 31-month-old son received this for Christmas and absolutely loves it. He plays with it and the treehouse everyday. I agree with one of the reviewers that it's annoying that some of the items jam up the moat. My son's favorite part of the castle is the slide leading to the "secret passage". The biggest complaint I have with the castle is that it's not sturdy and the pieces don't stay on the castle. For example, my son can easily remove both the yellow stairs and the blue ramp, though I've repeatedly snapped them back on. This has never been a problem with the Weeble Treehouse, which came fully assembled.

Flimsier construction than the norm,

We have several of the Weebles items since both my 3 yr. old and my 1 year old like to play with them. I don't like the construction of this as much as the tree house and some of their other items. It snaps together and seems flimsier than the solid construction of most of their other items. The bridge and the steps seem to pop off all of the time. In addition, the castle has "unpopped" at least twice since Christmas. The animated items they put on keep their attention. However for the price if they had a choice over the castle or last year's tree house, last year's tree house would win hands down. The seats and other items constantly fall off of it too.

Castle OK, but not as fun as other Weebles products,

We bought this castle, because all of my kids have LOVED the weeble town that we have. This castle is ok, but not nearly as fun as the others.
My major complaints: 1. Music does not play for very long, you have to continually hit a button for it to start again. 2. Not as many areas for the weeble people to go around on. Just a moat under the castle that is hard for my son to get his hands on. Perhaps, if we did not have any other Weebles toys this would be okay, but there are just too many Weeble products that are a lot more entertaining - and cheaper.

I can't say enough about this terrific toy. It inspires imaginative play, dialog, and lots of other creativity from young ones. This is by far the best Weebles toy, but it costs too much new here. I bought mine used and recommend that to anyone. If you see one, definitely snap it up. The newer Weebles with their new design still work with it as well which is a huge plus.

Purchased for my granddaughter for Christmas 2009. She is 16 months. Her mother saw it at a friend's house and both the granddaughter and grandson (3) loved playing with it. We look forward to their enjoyment and will probably pass down to a niece. Smooth transaction and quick communication.0
