We bought this for our 4 year old and it took him about a week to learn how to transform it himself. If you are a 4 year old you have to pull it really hard to make it transform from the truck to the gun. Otherwise he has had hours of fun playing with it. I would also recommend to buy extra nerf darts because they do get lost easily. I think that it only comes with 3 or 4 darts.Hasbro Transformers Optimus Prime Battle Rig Blaster

First of all....the price on this toy is crazy! This toy is worth about $25. So if it's over that....keep price checking! It's a very durable toy. Very easy to transform from truck to gun. Heavy for small children. I am not sure of the age range, but my 3 year old had a hard time using his brother's (who is 5). Fun toy overall.

My son got this toy and within a few weeks all the darts had fell apart! I could not find any darts that would fit it and had to write the company. They sent me soome replacement darts, but we had a hard time getting the darts to work as they were not the same size. I would not buy this toy again.

I was worried that my 4 yr old grandson wouldn't be able to switch the transformer back and forth from the gun to the truck, but he had no problem with it at all. The toy seems very durable and he loves it!

My son enjoyed this toy over anything else he received this Christmas. The toy transforms in just a matter of seconds, and can shoot the foam darts far and fast.

My 5 year-old saw this and went crazy for it. It immediately made it on the "Wish List" and Santa brought it for Christmas. It's easy to transform and shoot once you get the hang of snapping it in. The only problem is finding replacement darts. I think we've lost all the original ones. Does anyone have any clues?

This was right at the top of my son's Christmas List this year. His grandparents got it for him and he was thrilled. He has enjoyed it. I wish I could find some replacement darts for it though as his little sister has made of with 2 of them. lol Overall he loves it so that makes me happy. I am not a big fan of things that shoot being in the house for toys, but this has worked out okay.
